Finn's POV:

I'm sitting here in Breadstix with Quinn. Gosh she's stunning and beautiful and my heart is pounding. Not at Quinn though, I see Rachel and I can't breathe anymore, she honestly takes my breath away.

"Hey, Rach," I can tell Quinn's glaring at me but I don't care. I really screwed up. 

She doesn't get the chance to say anything before she's swept away, but I do hear a faint "see you at the dance," does that mean she'll be looking for me? Ugh! I can't wait any longer.

AT THE DANCE

still Finn's POV:

I walk into the dance and everyone is staring at Quinn and me, it feels strange and I wish they all weren't. I feel wrong, I know I said that popularity meant a lot to me, but I don't want it unless I have Rach by my side.

Since Quinn and I are up for Homecoming Court (prince and princess since we're not seniors) everyone expects us to win, hopefully we do, but I don't want to hurt Rachel's heart more than I already have.

All of a sudden, Jesse St. Jack*** pushes past me. Why the heck is he here, I honestly hate that kid, for so many more reasons than just him liking Rach.  Then I see it.  He grabs Rachel's Hand forcefully and I can see him talking to her, unfortunately I can't hear because the music is so loud.

Rachel's POV:

I was dancing when I saw Finn and Quinn walk in. The whole school stopped so they could stare at the "it" couple at Mckinley High. It hurt, especially since they're probably gonna win prince and princess.  

I was enjoying my time when my hand was forcefully grabbed and I was yanked around, only to see Jesse. "Jesse let go of me, you're hurting me!" I yelled at him.

"Listen here, we're gonna dance all night long and you're gonna like it. And guess what, there is nothing you can do since you were to ugly to keep Finn busy," he nastily said. I can't believe what I am hearing.  What if it's not just a dance? He's making me nervous and I can smell the alcohol on his breath.  He then attacks me with his lips.  I'm so scared but no one is paying attention. I start to cry silently when I feel Jesse being pushed to the ground. Finn grabs my hand and takes me out to the hallway, while Sam and Mike drag Jesse to Figgins' office.

"Hey,  hey are you okay," He says while rubbing soothing circles on my shoulder. 

"Yeah, I'm fine, but we should get back in there. They're announcing Prince and Princess and you wouldn't want to miss your opportunity with Quinn," I say as I push away from him and walk back into the gym.

Finn's POV:

I can't believe Jesse was here, and tried to force himself on Rach, no woman or girl should have to go through that. It broke my heart seeing her like that.  She walks back in before me and I follow soon after. I go stand next to Quinn and wait for Figgins to announce homecoming prince and princess, along with King and Queen. He announces the prince and princess at 9:30 and will announce the King and Queen at 10, since they're older.

"Excuse me," Figgins says while tapping the microphone, "It is time to announce this years homecoming Prince and Princess," He says with a weird smile.  "Your homecoming Prince is...... Finn Hudson!" Everyone applauded and I walked up so I could get my crown. I stand next to Figgins while he is announcing Princess, which I knew Quinn was going to win. "And now, for the time you all have been waiting for.....your Princess is...." I could see Quinn getting ready to walk up," Rachel Berry!" The room filled with an awkward silence and a spotlight shining on her, then claps ran through the room. I can't believe that just happened. I knew she was my princess.

She looked around and started to walk up. I saw Quinn run out of the room, I feel bad, but I am so happy that my best friend won. They take our picture and then we walk to take our dance.  

"Finn, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to win, I don't even know how I won over Quinn, I mean I'm not as pretty or skinny as her and I'm annoying" I cut her off before she could finish.

"What are you talking about? You're beautiful and gorgeous and my heart skips a beat when I see you. Yeah Quinn is considered beautiful, but only on the outside, and as far as I am concerned your beauty shines through out you," I whisper to her. How could she think that? Then I realize it was my fault, I left her for Quinn and that put her confidence level extremely low.

She's blushing and smiling but hides it to make sure no one sees it. As soon as the music finishes she runs off and out of the school, I see her drive away. So I run out of the room and find Quinn crying. "I HATE HER! WHY DOES SHE GET EVERYTHING THAT I WANT HUH? SHE'S ANNOYING AND UGLY AND FAT!"

"QUINN STOP IT!   This is ridiculous!  I'm sorry but I'm breaking up with you! I don't know why I did this with you! Goodbye Quinn," I say and walk away.

"YOU CAN'T DO THIS TO ME! DO YOU THINK YOU'LL STAY POPULAR WITH HER?" She yelled after me.

"Honestly, don't care," With that I walk out of the school. I'm so sorry Rachel Barbra Berry.
