"Mom?" Brin asked, looking up to Taylor.

"Yes, Brin?" She replied, dusting off her award shelf.

Taylor had planned to throw that away, get rid of the past, or any evidence of who she was.

But Karlie persuaded her not to lose herself completely.

Too late. Taylor thought.

"Can you tell me more about dad?" Brin said, dragging Taylor to her room.

"Um... What do you wanna know?" Taylor asked.

"What's he like? Why did he go?"

"He was caring, I remember this one time..."

"Taylor? I'm home." He called.

She immediately greeted his welcome arms, and then realized he was holding something.

"What is it?" Taylor asked excitedly, trying to open it.

"It's a gift for you." He replied, smiling.

"Which is...." Taylor said, opening the bag. "You didn't!"

"I did."

"Thank you."

It was a song he detected to Taylor.

"You're welcome."

"How caring?" Brin interrupted.

"Very caring." Taylor smiled.

"What else was he like? Was he string, or a prince, or like, protective?"

"Taylor! It's great to see you again." Andrew greeted.

Don't remember Andrew? -Teardrops on my Guitar ;-) -

"Well, hi." Taylor said, awkwardly. "Why are you here...?"

"Taylor, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have been so blind."

"Hey there, my name's..."

"I know your name dude. I'm Drew. Drew Hardwick."

"That's great. But me, as Taylor's boyfriend of course, is about to take her out to dinner, so I'd you could leave, that'd be great." He said.

"Taylor, you gotta hear me out. Making me go, big mistake." Drew rolled his eyes. "You gonna drop me like every other boy you've dated?

"Do you want me to mention the fact that you could be arrested for tres passing? Our security obviously didn't let you in." He said. "And you better go, before I drop kick you, like all the other boys who realize what they missed out on, way too late."

Taylor smiled, shutting the door on Drew.

"He was very protective. Ideal." Taylor smiled again.

"That's awesome!" Brin said, giggling. "Did he love you?"

~<•>~

"Please don't go. I hate when you leave." Taylor whined.

"It's only for one show, TayTay. You'll be ok." He smiled.

"I know. But there's millions of girls there that love you. You never know..."

"Tay, I love you okay?"

"I love you, too."

"I love you more." He smirked.

"Lies." Taylor said.

"I'll love you forever." He said confidently.

~<•>~

Lies.

"He did love me. And I loved him. We were happy together. He ruined that." Taylor said, kissing the top of Brin's head and frowning.

"What happened, mommy? Why did you and dad take a break?" Brin frowned too, thinking of what it might be like if he wouldn't have left.

Brin wouldn't admit it, but not having a dad was hard on her. She constantly felt like she needed somebody else there to be there for her, she felt bad for putting it all on Taylor and Karlie, although she also felt bad for herself. Everyone else had dad's to play with, why was she different?

"That's a story for another day, Brin." Taylor smiled a bit, and turned off the light.

"I love you. I'll love you forever." Brin smiled innocently at her mom and went straight to sleep.

Taylor just stood there by the door.

Brin looked so much like.... him, that it hurt.

"I know." She finally said, shutting the door and walking away.
