Taylor waved at the camera and Brin smiled. Sure, she missed her mom, but she's a big girl now.

The contract had extended. Brin's superstar father no longer wanted to keep her for a few weeks or so, but for the year.

Taylor was not happy about this, at all. She was running around her house with her cats, planning a huge surprise last time anyone bothered to go check on her.

Her brother says she's going crazy. She claims she's the most sane she's ever been. Everyone who knows her is worried about her. "She's walking on a thin line," Scott had said.

But Taylor is the only one who really knows what's going on. She's seen the interviews. She's heard the rumors.

"Hey Brin, can I talk to dad quick?" Taylor said quickly.

"Sure. Daddy! She wants to talk to you." Brin said, grabbing the iPad she was holding and running off to another room.

Of course, she flipped the camera as she searched for him. And there he was, with Kendall Jenner, dancing in the kitchen while listening to music.

We used to dance like that, Taylor thought. Those were good times.

"Oh, hi Taylor. What's up?" He asked. He took the camera and Taylor watched as Brin jumped into Kendall's lap.

"Hey. You have to shut down those rumors"

He snickered. He was drunk. "Which ones? You don't get it, Taylor, they never stop. So what if they think Kendall is her mom, you see Brin, she's happy.

He was yelling by now and walking out of the room.

    Taylor started to tear up.

"Taylor, you know I didn't mean it like that. Look, it's been a long week, I promise I'll be in the right mind tomorrow and I can clear it all up then, okay?" He slurred. She rolled her eyes at him and wiped a tear away. "Calm down. Taylor, you know, you're losing it, love."

"Don't call me love. I'm not losing it, everyone else is. Everyone is acting like it's okay that my daughter is millions of miles away and spending her nights with two drunk celebrities."

"Ken isn't drunk. She's not like that. We're not even dating, Taylor. Don't be jealous." He laughed. "The paps just think we're dating, and they're eating it upppp," he said, dragging out his sentence. "it's funny, honestly. Everyone is so gullible."

"Send her back. I want her back." Taylor screamed, throwing something across the room.

"Calm down, please. You know I can't do that." He frowned, as if he was almost aware of what was happening. "I'm gonna go, T."

Then, once again, in the blink of an eye, he was gone, and she was alone.

She sighed and thought for a second. Then, after 4 glasses of wine and 2 hours of convincing herself not to do it, she did it.

She went to her room, packed a bag, left a note for her mom and dad on their doorstep, and drove to the airport.

Welcome back to New York, Taylor Swift.
