Riley and I are lying on her bed. I can't take my eyes off her. Then I smile as she yawns.
"What hair color do you have?" She asks and I raise my eyebrow, surprised by her random question.
"Brown." I answer.
"Like my mom, Devin?" She wonder.
"No, not that dark. It's lighter." I smile to her and steal her hand in mine, making circles with my thumb on her soft skin.
"Okay," She nods.
"Your eyes?" She smiles to me.
"They are green. What is yours?" I wonder. She leans in closer to me.
"It's a secret." She teased and I watched how her lips moved. I want to kiss her again, more than anything right now. I cup her cheek and surprise her as I laid my lips on her, kissing her gently. I don't want to scare her away. I move back with a satisfied smile.
"C-could you please tell me when you kiss me so I know?" She says with her whole face as red as the rose I gave her today.
"I'm sorry, I wasn't sure if you would let me." I explain and watch her bite on her lower lip.
"Well, I would have, you taste good." She smiles. My eyes widen, and my cheeks are so warm right now.
"I... what?" I ask shocked, and she chuckles as she squeeze my hand.
"You do, you taste like lemon, very sweet lemon." She tells me and I just look at her blinking my eyes. I itch my neck, stunned and a little embarrassed.
Sometimes I forget that her whole life she had learned how to adapt to use her other senses. To use her smell, taste, ears and touch.
"You taste very good yourself." I smile as I move closer to her, just some few inches away from her face.
She takes her hand out of mine, moving it up my arm, shoulder and neck until she places it on my cheek.
I close my eyes to her gentle touch as she traces my skin with her fingers.
"You are so soft." She says and I smile to her words. Then she moves her hand into my hair.
I yawn as I feel the sleep creep into me. I lay my arm around her to push her closer. I bury my face on the top of her head, falling asleep with her soft touch and her amazing smell.
The sound of talking wakes me up, but then my favorite scent comes to my nose, making a smile come automatically on my face.
I nuzzle on the back of her head and hold her tighter. Not caring what she and her mom, Devin is talking about. Then not long after it's quiet.
"Drew?" Riley calls my name.
"Yes?" I smile and kiss her on the back of her head again.
"What are we?" She wonders taking my hand in hers.
"Whatever you want it to." I whisper in her ear. She snorts lightly and turn around to me. Then she laid her hand on my cheek as I am staring at her beauty.
"Can I trust you?" She wonder which makes me confused.
"Trust me how?" I ask and brush the blond hair away from her cheek.
"That you won't hurt me or do anything that I don't want to do." She says. I look at her for a moment, while biting on my lower lip of how beautiful she is.
"I promise." I smile as I lean in to kiss her forehead.
"So, what does this gorgeous girl want to do now?" I ask and watch her cheeks turn red, like they always do.
"I just want to lie here with you." She smiles lightly.
"That," I kiss her forehead.
"Sound very good." I say and wrap my arm around her.
"Can I ask you something?" She wonders as she starts to play with my hair.
"Of course you can." I answer. Riley bites her lower lip for a moment.
"Is Becca in love with Olivia?" She asks.
"What?" I burst out, not even thinking.
"What makes you think that?" I wonder almost shocked. I know Olive is in love with Becca, but not the other way around. Riley shrugs.
"It's just that they fight a lot, and sometimes Becca has this very soft voice when she talks to her. Then there is this nickname that only she uses." Riley explains, and I shake my head amazed that I haven't noticed that.
"Are you sure, because Becca it always angry with her." I say unsure about this. Then I feel a little slap on my cheek, which makes me pout, annoyed, but lay my hand over hers. She is chuckling of what she just did, and then take a deep breathe.
"Drew, why do you think Becca is angry all the time?" She asks as if I am stupid, which might be true.
"Oh my god!" I say in shock and then laugh of myself.
"Are you sure you are blind?" I ask, making her laugh as well. Then I watch her lean in to plant a light kiss on my lips.
"Well, this is great." I smile.
"Why?" Riley wonders confused.
"Because Olivia is in love with Becca too," I chuckle and so does she.
"Then we have a job to do on Friday." I smile and lean in to kiss her forehead.
"Friday?" Riley asks.
"Yeah, Olivia has a party on Friday. Do you want to come, so we can tell her and see how it goes?" I wonder. She seems a little skeptical.
"We would just stay there to see how it goes with Olive and Becca," I smile as I stroke her cheek with my thumb.
"Then we can go back here. I promise."
"Okay, fine, but you need to keep your eyes on me." She says, still a little nervous.
"They are always on you."
