I would like to send out a very special dedication, to a very special person that I met through WattPad.  @curvycurves I love you to the moon and back!  Get well soon!

Marco was completely enthralled with the woman at his side.  Her beauty, the way she handled herself, her impeccable manners, she was the entire package and she was his, at least for the evening.

He asked her to dance and the moment he took her into his arms, he didn't want to let go, but a woman like her did not belong in his world and he would never knowingly place an innocent in harms way.

Pulling her closer gave him what he craved, the heat from her body and her scent. She smelled of lavender, a fresh and clean scent that stirred his insides.

Marco hadn't realized that the song was over until he looked down to see Cay staring up at him, a little smile spread across his face which in turn made her return the gesture.

"I enjoyed that" she said quietly as they walked over to get some champagne. Handing her a flute, they toasted to their health, his promotion and a good time. Marco couldn't keep his eyes off her and every time their eyes met, neither one could look away.

As the evening droned on and on, the more Marco drank. He wasn't flat out drunk and being Italian, he could hold his liquor but he did feel tipsy.  He looked around for Cay and just when he was about to give up, he saw her standing out on the balcony.

Leaning up against the door frame, his feet crossed at the ankles and his arms were crossed over his chest, and he watched her, just staring up at the crystal clear night sky.

"What are you doing out here, princepessa?" Marco asked as she turned around, her hand over her heart. "Oh you startled me" she giggled as he walked closer to where she was standing, a sexy smirk adorning his beautiful face.

"Sorry" he responded as he leaned forward and rested his forearms on the ledge. "I don't know really, I've just always had a fascination with the night sky, ever since I was little.

It just reminds me of how small we are in the grand scheme of things and somehow that knowledge keeps me grounded. That must really sound childish to you" Cay said, sighing.

Marco straightened up, turned and faced her. "Not at all, Cayanne" he said, loving how her name sounded when it rolled off his tongue. Taking her hand, he gently pulled her to his body, lifted her chin, very much wanting to look into her amazing eyes.

"Look at me" he said softly. When her eyes finally met his, he said "Don't fear me, Tesoro. Too many people already do and that's the last thing I want you to feel."

They stood there for a moment, his hand still at her chin and his other hand on her waist, just lingering glances, each of them thinking different thoughts.

"I don't fear you, Marco" Cay said softly. Lowering his mouth and just inches from her lips, he asked "Then why is your body trembling?" He watched her hand come up and rest on his, which he'd moved to cup her cheek.

The sparks that emanated from that physical contact were undeniable. "It's not because of fear" her voice barely audible. "Then what is it? I must know" he urged.

"I'm not experienced in things like this" she said while moving her hand back and forth between them. "I've never had a boyfriend and I've never been kissed. That's what terrifies me" she told him honestly.

He looked at her in disbelief, maybe he'd had a little too much to drink but he could have sworn she just said she was a virgin. He would tread carefully because the last thing he wanted to do was hurt her.
