Marco was like a madman, a man possessed. It had been two days since his wife spoke to him, and rightly so.

This f*cked up mess with Whitford had transformed him back into the as$hole he used to be. Business first and everyone else second.

Last night had sent him over the edge though. She slept in Julian's room, refused to look at him or talk to him and it dawned on him that this must be how she's felt the last week.

In her mind, ignoring him was right up there with being cheated on and she was hurt, deeply. He had to fix this and now, but he needed Jules help to pull it off.

Jules. That was going to another issue. He'd much rather face a firing squad or have someone try to dig his heart out with a spoon, than deal with his pissed off sister.

She was very protective and territorial when it came to Cay and so it should be, when it's your famiglia. But he would take whatever she doled out in order to get his wife back.

He sent Dre, Vittorio and Umberto to check out the little one room cottage that was on the property and get back with him ASAP.

It would seem that it was in good shape, just needed cleaning, so Marco sent some of the house staff to give it a good cleaning, change the bedding, make sure there was food and decorate the inside with white, twinkling lights and candles.

He made sure to have them replenish the firewood for the fireplace, as that would be their only source of warm and he had asked one of the house staff to find, if they could, a fur-like bed covering, to add warmth and a rustic feel to the experience.

There was a small bathroom which contained and huge antique claw foot bathtub, a small fireplace and sink and that was enough.

So he had them make sure they had towels, and soap, etc. and decorate it with the same lights and candles. The extra touch being the essential oil she loved using when she was in the tub.

He told them, when they were finished, he wanted to preview it first and then he'd bring Cay there to fix his giant f*ck up.

In the meantime, he needed to head back to The Cells. It was time once again to hear Whitford scream.

He was wearing black sweats and a black tank shirt and tennis shoes.

The smells and sounds that accosted the senses was horrible, men moaning from the pain that was being inflicted, would make the hair on anyone's body stand up.

Braeden Whitford was now fastened to a chair, where earlier he had been tied to a table.

He was so bad off, they used something to keep his head up, otherwise he was so weak he didn't have the strength to hold it himself.

His left eye was swollen shut, his lip was split open, he had precision cuts placed on his body from knife inflicted wounds, the bottoms of his feet had been burned and his finger nails had been removed.

"Braeden, I've known you for a long time and I know that you are keeping something from me and I'll tell you what else I think.  You aren't in charge.  Someone else is pulling the strings.

I can end your suffering, right now.  All you have to do is tell me the truth.  Who is your puppeteer?  Who is it?" He yelled.

His captive gave him a sick, half-hearted smile before he answered.  "You're going to kill me either way, but I can't tell you because I fear this person more than I fear you.

I never had anything against Cay.  In fact you are so lucky to have someone like her, but you need to keep her safe.  She's in as much danger as you are."

Marco was tired, not just physically, but mentally and he asked Enzo to take up the beatings on Whitford and Umberto and Vittorio would take on the other two men.

He needed to talk to Jules and get prepared for his evening with Cay, so he headed back to the main house.

He didn't see Cay but wasn't worried about that right now and focused on what he needed to say to Jules.

Knocking on her bedroom door, she called out "Come in."

Jules frowned when she saw him walk through the door and it hurt him but he understood why and that's what brought him to her, was to fix it.

"I need your help, sis. I need to make things right between my wife and I. I miss her and I can't sleep without her in my bed. I have an idea, but it will take you talking to her and convincing her to come and meet me."

"I am willing to help you Marco because I see how much she misses you and how miserable she is and because I'm concerned about the health of my niece.

But brother, you have to stop keeping her in the dark. She's already proven to you, time after time, that she is as strong as you are and let's face it, you need her as much as she needs you."

Marco smirked, shaking his head, forgetting just how grown up his sister was. He was very proud of her and knew she would make an amazing wife to Andre.

"Okay, sis. Deal. This is what I have prepared" Marco said, telling her everything he'd already put into play and the rest he was leaving up to Jules.

Marco was happy and encouraged after talking to his sister as he headed to take a shower and get cleaned up, then he would make his way to the cottage, awaiting the arrival of his wife.

He changed quickly into his signature black suit, splashed on Cay's favorite cologne and ran his fingers through his hair.

Now, hoping his sister could convince his wife to come to him, he would show her how much he worshipped and adored her.
