Four years later:

"Mom!  I got the plates, napkins and silverware!" Julian called, making his way outside.  Now eight years old, he was looking more and more like Marco everyday.

Isabelle was a gorgeous little girl of four years old now and the apple of her father's eye, with long beautiful black hair that hung in ringlet curls, framing her cherubic face.

Speaking of their father and her husband, today was his birthday and while they would have a 'family wide' celebration, this one was for immediate family only.

So much had happened in the four years since they had Isabelle, Cay stopped a moment to reflect:

Jules and Andre married and were expecting their first baby any day.  Umberto married Candi, the bartender from Assets, and they had a two year old son.

Enzo married a nurse he'd met at the hospital when Isabelle was born and Carmine had finally taken the plunge and gotten engaged to the New Jersey Don's daughter, Danielle, who happened to be in her fourth year of law school at Columbia.

Vittorio was the last of Marco's immediate group to get a significant other.  He'd taken a bullet that was meant for Marco and his mortality was challenged, making him rethink being alone.

After that he began to seriously look for someone he could take up with, that would love him for him.  Her name was Nancy and she worked as a manager at a fashion boutique.

They had literally run into each other one day in the city and well sparks flew, one thing and one date later, lead to another and another and he asked her what she was looking for in life and love.

Turns out, she'd had a hard time settling down, because most men wanted a booty call and she wasn't like that.  She wanted someone to come home to at night, that she could laugh and joke with, make dinner for and share her day.

Vit had wanted the same thing, as it turns out and it took a bullet to drive that point home.

Cay had brought her mind back to the day and the event at hand, celebrating her husband's birthday, a day she will be forever grateful for.

She had Marco's gifts lined up for him on the long table she had setup outside, and then there was the cake and refreshment table ready and waiting on the guest of honor.

Julian and Isabelle had worked together on a gift for Marco's office desk.  They had asked their mother for four pictures of Marco with each of them and then two of the three of them together.

Julian had helped Isabelle make and decorate a frame for it and then he wrapped it.

Cay had seen it and thought it was just beautiful.  Those were the kinds of gifts their father loved and cherished more than anything you could buy.

Finally, her good looking and very hot husband came down the stairs, fresh from his shower and dressed in fitted jeans, a tight gray tee shirt and boots.

She still shuddered at the thoughts of them in bed together.  And after all this time, he still rocked her boat, giving her the best orgasms and leaving her breathless.

The men sat around and drank beer, while the women drank wine and the children Kool-Aid.

Marco had asked Cay if she wanted some wine, but she told him later perhaps, after everything settled down.

Cay walked over and put her arms around Marco's middle, hugging him tightly. "Happy birthday, baby" she whispered as he brought his lips down to hers.
