Marco waited until Julian had been dropped off at school to start having a conversation in his head about the one he'd be having with Cay, regarding tonight's soft opening at Assets.
Depending on how it went, he would suggest that she speak with Nono, so he could explain how his wife dealt with the fact that her husband owned a strip club back in the day. He thought her reaction could go either way and that's what worried him.
But first things first. Cay had another doctor's appointment today and they were both excited to see how much their baby had grown. She was at nine weeks now, and both of them had noticed the tiny baby bump that was starting to form.
Cay was waiting for him when Dre pulled the car into the compound. Jumping out, he pulled the door open for her as she slid in right next to him.
Leaning over, Marco placed a kiss on her cheek and told her how beautiful she looked. She frowned, something he didn't see her do a lot of, and said "I feel so bloated already."
"Baby you are beautiful to me no matter what and I love how your skin is so radiant, you almost glow" he told her.
She was wearing warm brown leather boots, that came to her knees, dark brown leggings and a pastel pink cashmere sweater that hung off one shoulder.
He thought she was the hottest mom, wife and pregnant woman he'd ever seen and he was looking forward to watching her belly grow with their daughter. Yes, he wanted a daughter.
He was also looking forward to meeting the doctor that had cared for Cay when she was pregnant with Julian. He'd heard many good things about her as well, not telling Cay but he ran a background check on the good doctor.
The front of the private practice was done in red brick, trimmed in white trim and columns, the landscaping was breathtaking with several varieties of roses which gave an air of comfort and warmth, giving it a family feeling.
They signed in, sat down and waited, but it would only be ten minutes before the nurse came and got them. She was Hispanic and had a great bedside manner and friendly, warm smile.
"Cay! It's so good to see you!" She greeted them brightly. "Constanza! Oh my goodness you look amazing! How are the twins?" Cay asked. The nurse said they just turned five.
"Constanza, this is my husband, Marco DeLuca. Baby, this is the nurse that took care of me when I had Julian. She was in the delivery room with us" Cay explained.
"Very nice to meet you" Marco said, smiling at the woman as they followed her back to a room to get her weight, vitals, blood pressure and urine.
After all of this was done, the nurse handed Cay a skirt looking item and told her to undress from the waist down and then come back and sit on the table.
Marco looked around at all of the equipment, a machine that looked like a computer and various other things but was brought from his thoughts when a short, older attractive woman with auburn hair blew into the room.
"Cay, darling! It's so good to see you again and looking so well!" She smiled heartily as she sat on her padded rolling stool.
"Dr. Marchand, this is my husband Marco. Marco, Dr. Marchand. She delivered Julian" Cay introduced.
"We'll let me see Julian" she said excitedly. Cay asked Marco for his phone and pulled up a picture from the night of his awards ceremony at school.
