Marco woke to a horrible retching noise coming from their bathroom, jumping up he threw on his sleep pants and walked quickly into the bathroom to find Cay on her knees in front of the toilet.

His heart clenched for her, seeing her throw up like that, he knew she had to feel horrible, so he went over and got on his knees, just to the side of her and held her hair back while she continued to be sick.

After a few moments, she quit, laying her head against the closed lid, he noticed her chest heaving and helped her stand and walk over to the sink so she could rinse out her mouth.

He hated seeing her so fatigued, watching her lean against the sink now, her eyes red and blood shot, he picked her up bridal style and carried her to bed.

"What can I get you angel?" He asked softly while moving her hair back from her sweaty forehead. He noticed her trying to put on a brave face and smile for him.

"Ginger tea please" she replied, her voice strained and weak sounding. "Do you need crackers or soup?" Marco asked. "Any kind of broth would be good, oh and ginger ale if they have it" she answered, closing her eyes.

"Marco?" She called weakly.  "Si, fiore?" He replied.  "I'm sorry" she said.  Marco hung up the phone after ordering her drinks and soup and curled up next to her on the bed, placing his hand protectively on her belly.

"You have nothing to say sorry for" he answered gently, rubbing her stomach.  "Did you go through this with Julian?" He asked as she groaned.  "Almost the entire pregnancy" she said.

He immediately felt guilt take over his body, like he should have known but Cay would never allow him to carry around such a burden.

"Hey" she called, bringing his attention back to her.  "Jules and Nono were a God send and now you will get to go through this one with me" she smiled wanly.

Nodding he scooted down, lifted her shirt and stared at her belly, now looking like a tiny bulge where a flat, toned tummy used to be.

He loved the feel and smell of her skin, so feminine and girly.  He looked adoringly at her stomach and placing kisses all around, he felt her hands massage his scalp, their moment interrupted by a knock on the door.

Giving her another quick kiss, he said "I'll be right back baby.  It's room service."  She grabbed his hand and pulled it to her mouth, giving him a small kiss, while he shot her a heart-stopping grin.

Marco was back quickly, tray in hand, and putting it down, he helped her sit up, fluffed her pillows and then sat the tray on her lap.

He'd ordered himself some potato soup and a salad, so he and Cay ate dinner together in bed and he loved it, even though she felt under the weather, they still enjoyed each other's company.

The storm was still raging outside, so Marco had an idea and told Cay not to move as he wandered from the bedroom.

About fifteen minutes later, he showed back up, scooped her up and carried her into the living room, where he'd built a romantic, roaring fire, made a comfy looking bed out of blankets, and walking over, he placed her lovingly in the middle, pulling a blanket up to her waist.
