Cay couldn't help but feel like she was in a dream, and she made up her mind that if she was, she never wanted to wake up.  The moment Marco pulled her into his arms, she was enveloped in his scent, that same scent that comforted her all those years ago.

He was still holding on to her, like deep down he was afraid if he let go she would somehow disappear but she wasn't going anywhere and she needed to reassure him of this, that they were a family now, stronger than ever and not easily torn apart.

"Marco" she said softly.  "Hmm?" He replied.  "Look at me please."  He hesitated a moment before lifting his head, his gaze just as intense as she'd remembered.

"I'm not going anywhere.  Julian and I aren't going anywhere, that is if you still want us.  Deep down, I'd clung to the hope of this moment becoming a reality.  You and that little boy are the only thing that kept me going" Cay told him honestly.

He stared at her, his blue eyes intense at the moment, his hand coming to her face as he caressed her tenderly.  "Don't ever think that I don't want you or my son" he started.  "Our life, if you want it, begins now, in this house.  I want you and Julian under my roof where you belong.

I've missed so much and I want to start right now making up for it.  I also want to start out proper with our relationship by taking you and Julian out.  I need to get to know my family again."  There was so much sincerity in his voice, she couldn't help but smile.

"You know, Nono has been trying to get me and Julian to move in here from day one, it was my stupid pride that kept me from doing so.  If it weren't for him and Jules, we'd have struggled a lot more.  Julian will be so excited" Cay giggled.

"Is mommy going to be excited" Marco asked huskily.  Cay bit her lower lip and nodded slowly, her eyes on his mouth, wishing he would just kiss her already.

"You want me to kiss you, don't you baby?"  There was that smirk, the one that had been passed down from father to son.  "You know I do, Marco.  Why do you tease me when you know I want you to more than anything?"

"Then who am I to disappoint the mother of my child?" He murmured, lowering his lips to hers, taking it slow at first and when Cay acclimated herself to the feeling of his lips, she slightly parted hers, showing him her submission.

They both moaned together at the sensation that had alluded them for years, the connection that still seemed to be there, burned brighter than ever.

Cay whined a little when Marco removed his lips but he said it was only because he needed to see her face.  "It's still there" he said softly as Cay knitted her eyebrows in confusion.  "That same beautiful flushed look you would get after I kissed you."

Feeling self-conscious from his statement, she hid her face in his shoulder and listened to that sexy chuckle.  "Don't hide your face baby.  I love that after all this time I can still make you blush like that."

"You are the only one that ever has" she told him, lifting her eyes back to his.  "Has there been no one else in your life?"  You could hear the shock in his question as he asked it.

Cay shook her head.  "There could never be anyone else, Marco.  Don't you see that I was ruined for any other man?  I had coffee one time with someone, a year ago, and all I could do was compare him to you.  That was it, the last time.  If I couldn't have you back, I didn't want anyone else."

He was quiet for a moment, which petrified her to no end.  Would he be able to tell her the same thing?  Had he been with any other women since her?  God the thought of him making love to someone else made her physically sick.

"Cay don't" he said.  "I can see the wheels turning and to answer your question, no, there has not been anyone else but you.  I went on a few dates but they went no where.  You see, there could never be another you."

His words made her whole body relax in relief as she threw her arms around his neck and cried.  She needed it and he let her do it, holding her in support only.  He didn't say anything because there was nothing to say.

She realized that this was four years of stress and angst that had built up inside her and she was finally getting rid of it, all of it.  She could cleanse herself and present him with a new her, which she wanted completely.

When she pulled back from his shoulder, she was surprised to see wetness on his cheeks, but then again he'd been through the ninth circle of hell as well and they had both come out on the other side.

"Today is a new day" she said kissing his cheek.  "We agree, together, to leave the past where it belongs and start this new chapter by getting to know each other again.

I have so many things that I have collected over the years, concerning Julian, that I've kept especially for you and I want he and I to share those memories with you.  You're his father and you deserve to have it all, even if you weren't there, physically, I kept you close, in here" she said pointing to her heart.

His sighed and his lower lip trembled as he said "You are an amazing woman, Cayanne Daniels and I'm not sure how I was lucky enough to have you in my life, but I will spend forever becoming worthy of you and my son."

"Marco go get our son please and bring him here" Cay asked, her face hurting from the smile that had encompassed her mouth.

"I'll be right back, babe" he told her, kissing her one more time before he left the room.  Cay leaned back against the bed and let everything that had just transpired, roll through her head like a movie.

She'd gotten him back, by some miracle, Marco was back in their lives and he still wanted her but better than that he seemed truly thrilled to have a son, their son.  She couldn't quit smiling.

She heard laughing and excited conversation and she knew right away that Julian was talking his father's ear off but Marco didn't seem to mind, in fact it sounded like he was enjoying every minute of it.

"And I met the king and his knights and I got to see them fighting and everything, dad!"  She heard Julian's voice as he told him about his birthday at Medieval Times.

As soon as they walked into the room, Julian wiggled out of Marco's arms and ran straight for Cay.  "Mom!" His smile lighting up the room.  "Come here you" Cay joked as he jumped in bed, landing next to her.

He was up on his knees, his little face the epitome of pure joy as he exclaimed "You were right, mom!  Dad did come home!  I knew it, I just knew it!"  How could you argue with that.

"Julian, come here baby.  I need to ask you something very important because now that daddy is back, we will include him on all decisions, remember?"  Cay said and he nodded.

"Well, daddy wants us to move in here with him, Nono and Aunt Jules.  How do you feel about that?"  She could see that he was working really hard in his little mind but then he got the cutest grin on his face.  "This would be our forever home?  No more apartment?"

Cay almost cried at that because he never once complained about where they lived, he'd always been a grateful and gracious child.  Never spoiled, never needy.

"Yes darling.  We would live here forever, with daddy and be a real family" she replied.  "That would be the coolest thing ever!" He shouted, throwing his hands up.

Marco and Cay grinned at his outburst and then Marco said "Come on buddy, let's take mommy down the hall with us so you can pick out your new room.  How does that sound?"

Julian was all for it as he raced out of the room ahead of them, calling for Jules and telling her about his new room.  Cay took Marco's hand as she stepped from their bed.

"Are you happy, Cay?" Marco asked, looking down at her small frame.  "Deliriously" she responded, earning her a very sexy kiss.
