mommy's girl.

My thoughts were a swimming pool. Jack was showering, and I just laid in bed. I had found my grandmother.. it was way easier than I expected.. but what if Alicia, didn't want me anymore.. I could feel myself beginning to get anxious and didn't notice Jack standing in the doorway

"Babe..." I called out. I figured her wouldn't hear me cause I thought he was in the shower, but he immediately came and hovered over me. He slipped his arms under me and laid on my chest. I hugged him tight and he just laid there. He knew it was what I needed in that moment.

"Jack..?" I whispered

"Yeah baby.." he whispered back.

"Please don't leave me again.." I whispered. He looked up at me and gave me a quizzical look. Tears began to form in my eyes.

"My parents already didn't want me.. I've gotten cheated on... before you.. I just... I can't handle you not wanting me.." my voice quivered as I spoke every word.

"Don't ever think I don't want you.. because you're all I want" he said bringing one of his arms up and wiping my eyes.

"Promise...?" I asked

"Promise.."

the next morning, Jack took me to grab a quick bite and we immediately met up with Lilliana. I felt bad because jack and I barely got any alone time this whole trip. We drove to the airport and Lilliana told me all about my other family. All my cousins and aunts and uncles. It felt weird honestly. I sat in silence but Lilliana filled the gaps in with her voice. She talked a lot honestly. The flight home she fell asleep and I remained quiet. Jack looked down at me and gently nudged my shoulder.

"Hey.. what's wrong?" He asked. I shook my head and stayed silent. Playing slowly with my hands.

"It's a lot isn't it.." he asked. I simply nodded and stayed looking at my hands.

"Hey.. look at me." He said gently grabbing my chin to make me look at him.

"No ones forcing you to do this." He said. I shook my head.

"I want to.. It's just so much... I honestly just want my mom.." I whispered. And by mom I was referring my mom mom. Not Alicia.

"Call her.. when we land of course." He said smiling. His smile filled me with comfort and I nodded relaxing.

After our flight, Lilliana excused herself to make a call to someone and I took the time to call my mom.

"Hi baby girl!" My moms voice rang. Her voice made me tear up.

"Mom.. hi." I said

"What's wrong..." she asked. I spilled everything to her and she listened.

"Want us to go with you? When you meet them?"  She asked. I felt relief come over my body.

"Please.. I.... mom I can't do this alone.." I said.

"Baby you're not alone.. you have us.. and Jack.. you know if there's anyone who's got you, it's us and him.. let us know what time we should be at your place and we'll leave from there okay? I love you Lia..." she said.

"I love you way more mom.."

When we got to our apartment, I was grateful that Johnson made the place spotless. Jack and I wanted to freshen up and Lilliana was with us until we met with everyone else later. She looked around as I grabbed glasses to get us some water. Johnson had pictures of us everywhere. From being children all the way until I left to meet my grandma. She looked at every picture. Every picture of me and my brother. Me and my friends. Me and my parents. And me and Jack. Every recital picture Johnson had. (He was a proud brother obviously) and she had a sad smile on her face.

"Everything okay?" I asked.

"You had the life.. your mother wanted for you.." she said. I looked at my hands and she continued looking through everything, and thankfully Johnson, skate and Sammy walked in with Jack.

"So this is mama Lia?" Skate asked. She smiled at him and shook her head.

"Grandmother actually. Who are you handsome boys?" She asked.

"You don't look a day over 30! Stop pulling our legs." Sammy said with a dimpled smile. She laughed and waved her hands on the air.

"Oh stop it"

"Well I'm Sammy, this is Nate, and we're lia's "brothers" and that's Jack.. Johnson he's Lia's actual brother" he said. They all hugged her and she held onto Johnson longest

"Thank you for taking care of my baby.." she whispered. He hugged back and smiled.

"Of course. She's the light of mine and my parents world honestly.." he replied.

"I'm gonna go.. shower." I said. I moved swiftly, kissed Jack and whispered a quick I love you before exiting the room.

Johnsons POV

Lia quickly left the room and left the guys and i with her grandma. She quickly turned to Jack.

"So you're her boyfriend?" She asked. His face grew slightly red and he nodded.

"Yes ma'am I am." He said. She eyed him up and down and raised an eyebrow.

"Hurt her, and I swear.." she whispered. He held his hands up.

"You have my word.." he replied.

"Oh that's fine. Just know her father has 6 brothers. So." She said. Jack immediately paled and nodded.

"Noted." He said. I intervened and began playing videos of Lia's performances over the years, and Lilliana watched quietly. Her eyes beamed as she watched my sister dance across the screen. Before I knew it my mom was next to her with my dad. They began talking like they were life long friends and Lia soon crept into the room. My dad pulled her close and she laid her head on his shoulder. Lilliana took note of it and lightly blushed.

"Are we ready?" she asked. Lia nodded, and my parents and Lilliana walked out and Lia slowly followed holding jacks hand. I grabbed her arm and she let go. I embraced her.

"Do you want me to come?" I asked.

"No... I've got this.. I think.." she whispered. I kissed her head lightly.

"Love you baby sister."

"Love you more.." she replied before she followed Jack out the door. I felt nervous for her. But I knew this is what she had to do..
