Heaven and Hell don't mix, they just don't it's like oil and water, they just drift apart and clash with each other....
"Aquarius?" A low and husky voice called for her. "Yes my lord?" Aquarius bowed. "How many times have I told you that you can call me Scorpio? You don't need to bow to me. You are my sister!" He swished his cape.
"It doesn't feel right...." She sounded a bit less formal. "You are my second in command it doesn't mean you aren't family." He sighed and ruffled his younger sister's hair. Aquarius pouted at him for messing up her midnight black hair but took it.
They were two years apart, not a big difference. He was 23 and Aquarius was 21. "Now, will you join me for dinner?" He bowed and extended a hand. "Yes I shall join you." She said in a very elegant voice.
His black horns protruded from his head, marking his rein as king of Hell. He honestly hated the horns but he had gotten used to it with time. "Aquarius I have a favor." Scorpio tried making himself look a little innocent. "What?" Aquarius rolled her eyes.
"Can you go to the town and check up on everyone?" He tried batting his eyelashes but it just made him look stupid. "Fine, not like I have I choice." Her ruby eyes glowed. "Thank you." He munched on whatever he was served.
Aquarius stepped outside with a hand on the hilt of her sword, she had powers but she felt naked without something close combat related. The blistering hot air blew and it would have scalded the face of an Angel or someone from the Middle but the Devil's could handle the heat with ease, they could even wade in the lava as if it was a pool.
Aquarius entered the busy and rushing town of Maglava, it felt even hotter in here. Aquarius went to check on her friends first. She knocked on a wooden door and a small face matched with magenta colored hair welcomed her.
"Gemini! Are you well?" Aquarius smiled. "Oh! Aquarius I'm fine thank you, what are you doing here?" She leaned against the doorway. "Patrol duty..." Aqua scoffed. Gemini's eyes slowly went from Aquarius to something behind her.
Aqua noticed her dazed look and looked behind her. "Really? Aries? You still like him?" Aqua sighed. "He is just...." Gemini sighed and fanned herself. "So much drama..." Aquarius groaned. "You'll understand when you like someone!" Gemini crossed her arms but didn't take her eyes off of Aries.
"Aries broke your heart once, don't let it happen again." Aqua warned. Gemini mindlessly nodded. Aquarius rolled her eyes and went to greet others. "Hey Aqua!" Aries waved. Aqua gave him a glare, a small ember of fire appeared at the corner of his shirt.
He realized and gasped. "That's my favorite shirt!" And frantically started fanning and blowing it. Aqua snickered and turned. "Don't mess with my friends or you'll mess with me." She said to herself. She saw a stunning woman with blond hair at the town square, looking at stuff to buy, as always.
Aquarius pounced on her making her gasp in fear. "AQUA! DONT DO THAT!" She put a hand to her chest. Aquarius laughed until her stomach hurt. "Nice to meet you to Libra." Aquarius smiled. "Which looks better on me?" She held to dresses to her body.
"Everything looks good on you and if it doesn't you make it look good on you." Aquarius felt slightly jealous. Libra sighed and threw them both back on the stand. "So what's up?" Libra placed her hands on her hips. "Just making sure everything is in check." Aqua said.
"Well....I saw a fight going on in the alley down there maybe you should stop it." Libra pointed in the direction. "Oh DEVIL!! (Instead of saying god they say devil) Aquarius ran to the alley she could hear thumps and grunts of punches landing. Aquarius felt a red hot flame appear in her hand.
"STOP THIS INSTANT!" Aquarius yelled. The two men looked at her, the one with brown hair held the other one by the collar. "Sag started it." The other man said. Sagittarius squinted at him and landed another right hook to his jaw.
Aquarius winced and fired a small ball of blue flame. Sag glared at her in anger, his hand glowed a deep deep red as he fired his own projectile at the blue flame. They canceled each other out and he began to approach her.
Aquarius sheathed her sword and held it up. He grabbed the blade with his bare hands and the metal melted with the intense heat she could feel radiating off him. He reached to grab her neck but he felt a force stop him.
He struggled to push forward but he couldn't, his own body couldn't move. Sagittarius noticed the shadowy figure standing behind her, one look at the black horns and fear struck him, it was the king.
"Did you try and hurt my sister?!" He growled and came closer, a dark aura coming off of him in waves, his eyes changed from the blood red to a dark dark purple, his hands were surrounded with the same glow.
"I-I'm sorry." Sagittarius struggled to say. "Fine, I'll let my sister decide what to do with you." He look at Aqua. Aquarius felt nervous, being put on the spot. "10 lashings, and then appoint him as servant." Aqua decided. She thought it was better then having him killed.
Sag almost sighed at the soft punishment, he could have died. "As you wish." Scorpio didn't release him, he forced him to turn around with his back facing him. A dark whip suddenly popped out of nowhere.
Sag gulped. "Not the whip of Sin..." He said quietly. "The Whip of Sin?! That could kill him!" Aqua said. "I'll make sure not to." Scorpio shrugged and suddenly whipped him once. The loud crack sounded like his back had broken. Sag cried out in utter pain.
The other man had ran away in fear. "Down here there are strict discipline and rules and one of the rules is to not mess with my family, just cause you're new here doesn't mean you can do whatever you want!" Scorpio lashed him 5 more times.
Sagittarius's shirt was torn and his back was filling with red welts. "I'm sorry!!!" He pleaded. "Wait, is from?-" Aqua didn't finish. "Yes, he is from the Middle, that wretched wasteland." He growled. Scorpio gave him a small break to breath.
Sag was sweating and a panting and crying mess. He struggled to escape which was met with another crack. His back arched backward, he couldn't speak through the pain anymore. The whip of sin hurt a lot more then a normal whip, it feels like hot metal being whacked and dragged across your skin.
The last few lashes passed and Scorpio released Sag from his dark aura. Sag collapsed onto the ground, panting in exhaustion. "I hope you learned your lesson." Scorpio vanished in an instant.
Aqua walked towards Sag who immediately scrambled back. "Don't come near me!" He cried out at the stinging pain. "Calm down, I could have had you killed, and I still can." Aquarius touched his back he yelled and took a sharp inhalation.
"My brother is a bit....overprotective." Aquarius tended to his wounds, luckily she had Demons drop on her, it would reduce the pain and start healing the welts.
"Thank you..." He gulped. "I guess you're out servant now." Aqua laughed. "I didn't have a job anyway, but you got to start somewhere right?" He smiled. "Yep." Aqua helped him up and led him to the castle.
