Reloading his pistol and clicking in the full magazine, Coulson left his office and found Mike standing by the half opened door.
"So, you're really going after her huh?" Mike began slowly. Coulson stuffed the pistol into the inside pocket of his blazer and walked past him.
"Yeah," he replied casually, walking on, but there was a serious undertone in his voice.
"Sir, we need to think rationally about this. We don't even know who this guy is or where he's even taken her. It could be another universe for all we know," Mike explained carefully as he knew Coulson wouldn't take his words lightly. Coulson kept walking briskly towards the cabins,
"That's why we need someone who knows how to track down those kind of people- sorry did you just say we?"
"I am coming along too. You're gonna need all the help you can get." As much as he didn't like it, Coulson had to agree. Besides, a guy with super strength at his side wasn't such a bad idea.
Coulson stopped outside of Jemma's cabin and slowly slid the door open. She was sitting upright on the bed, her cheek bone bruised purple and her bottom lip swollen. 'Oh Jemma, you poor thing,' Coulson thought sadly, as he smiled pitifully at her.
"Jemma-" he began but she stood up, he legs wobbling a bit under pressure, and faced her team leader.
"What do you need me to do? Anything, I'll do anything to get my mind off what's been going on the last 48 hours."
With that, Coulson had to explain everything that had occurred whilst she was sleeping, Skye disappearing, the mysterious teleporting guy who seemed nice to her to start with but Coulson's description of his recent affairs made her swiftly change her mind.
"So basically you need me to track down this guy? You do realise that it's going to take me some time. The sheer expanse of possibilities of where they might have teleported to are like... a million to one. Also I'm not the best tracker here, Fitz-" She stopped at the mention of his name and her mouth suddenly felt dry. Jemma was really, really, starting to miss her friend; although she was now torn between what her feelings were towards him, as he so heroically showed his love for her by risking his life to save her at the bottom of the ocean. 'What a brave, brave, stupid boy.'
"Jemma?" She was taken from her deep thoughts when Coulson touched her on the shoulder, "I really need you to help me, I need you to do this, for Skye. I know it's not easy with your right-hand man gone, but this is Skye we're talking about, and with Hydra caught up in all this, things are about to get real messy." Jemma nodded slowly and looked him in the eyes determinedly.
"Follow me."

"I can pick up the electrical transfer from where they were standing and calculate the strength of that power, then scan for a similar burst of energy in the surrounding area which should give us their destination. I hope," Jemma explained her findings. Coulson tapped her on the shoulder,
"You've got this, keep trying," he reassured her. He took Mike to one side and spoke quietly so that Jemma couldn't over hear them.
"I've got a feeling... when we rescue Skye, there will be something they'll want in return. If this whole plan blows up, you get Skye out of there and leave me to deal with all this."
"Sir, I'm sure this is going to work, there's no need for a heroic sacrifice speech now," Mike pleaded but Coulson had seriousness written all over his weary face. No matter what happened, he was determined to finish this business with Hydra for good. Everyone on his team had either been hurt, kidnapped, or close to death. He'd had enough, and it was time to meet with the enemy himself.
"You promise me you'll bring her back here safely, you promise me that," Coulson pointed his finger at him, and Mike slowly nodded his head in submission.
"You have my word, Sir."
"Good," Coulson breathed and turned back directly to Jemma. She was leaning over the touch screen table top and frowning as she worked her fingers across complex graphs and numerous numbers and formulas. There was a blipping sound and a computerized map appeared on the screen. It zoomed into a very small volcanic island and stopped. Coulson, Mike and Jemma stared at the island in silence. Then a small red dot blipped into the centre of the island.
"Gotcha!" Jemma exclaimed, "A small uninhabited island called San Benedicto off the coast of Baja California, formally known as The Island of the Innocents."
"Island of the Innocents? We'll see about that," Coulson reacted wittily. Mike smirked at his response, even though he didn't have the heart to find anything amusing at the present time.
"How long is it going to take us to get there?" Coulson enquired, which Jemma stared up at him and replied,
"You can't be serious about going after them? He can teleport, he made me fall I don't know how many feet underground, he kidnapped and crushed May's leg. And now Skye! What other form of destruction can this - being - perform?" She was right, but flying right in there with no back up plan was their only option. It was either save Skye, or leave her in the hands of Hydra. That was enough to make Coulson's hair stand on edge.
"I am," he replied. And that was that.
"Well," Mike sighed, "grab your passports kids, we're going on holiday."
