Weekend In The Hamptons Part 3:Last Day & The Job Offer

The next morning Beckett woke up and saw Castle looking at her."Hey" she said."Hey back" Castle said smiling at her then kissing her head.He got up and was about to say something when there was a knock at the door."Who could that be?" he opened the door as saw Ryan.

"Oh,hey Ryan"

"Hey guys sorry to disturb but someone's at the door"

"Who is it?"

"It's...your agent,Paula" Ryan said looking at him."What is she doing here?" Castle asked surprised that his agent is there."I don't know.She said you have to see her right now,it's important" Ryan asked confused himself."Where is she now?"."At the door,I kinda slammed the door at her face by accident before she could come in"."Ok you guys stay in your room while I go down and see what she wants" then he went downstairs.

Beckett is standing near the door looking confuse then she remembers about her two friends."Where's Esposito and Lanie?" Beckett asked smirking.Ryan grinned then say "They're still in their room.I think they're just tired"."We should give them some privacy" Beckett smiled then said "Can you go see what Paula wants from Rick?"."You want me to eavesdrop?" Ryan ask."Yeah is there a problem with that?"."No not at all"he said.

Ryan walked down the stairs slowly so Castle won't hear him.He can see both Castle and Paula talking about something.He stayed as quiet as possible so he can hear them talk."I have news!" Paula nearly screams."I know you're excited but can you keep your voice down,you're gonna wake up my friends" Castle looks annoyed but he's also very curious what Paula is so excited about.

"Ok I'll keep my voice down" she said."Just tell me already" Castle said impatiently."You got an invitation to teach students at a high school in Florida.The payment is amazing but you have to be there by tomorrow and you'll be there for a week" Paula says."Wo wo wo...what am I suppose to teach them exactly?" he ask."I don't know writing...you're a writer for crying out loud" she looks at him with a face that says 'duh'.

"But I can't go without my wife"

"Then just bring her along"

"But she also has a job to do"

"Can't she just take the week off"

"Well yes but-"

"Then what the heck are you waiting for.Start packing and let's go"

"I can't just leave my friends here,two of them just got engaged and Beckett is the best detective they have,she can't just take the week off because I want her to follow me"

"You are over complicating things" Paula says frustrated then continues "Just take the offer,it's really great and think about all those kids you could inspire".Castle runs a frustrated hand through his hair and looks at the floor,he does like inspiring people.He looks at her then said "Fine I'll take the offer.Just let me talk to Beckett first,you stay here".Paula nods satisfied that she finally got Castle to agree then sits on the couch.

Ryan who heard the entire thing told Beckett then heads to his room.Just as he closes his door Castle walked up the steps.He opened the door to his and Beckett's room then smiled when he saw Beckett sitting on the bed "Sorry about that,she wanted to tell me about an offer".He sits beside her then she asked pretending not to know "What kind of offer?"."A high school in Florida invited me to teach there for a week.I accepted but I can cancel if you don't want me to" Castle says facing her.
