The weekends passed by quickly. It didn't take long before everyone else found out about Javier and Lanie's date. They were a little shy about it at first, but quickly got over it. Now it's almost impossible to catch them alone and not making out.

It's Monday again, and Kate was just keeping some of her things in her locker, carefully placing everything in place when she heard footsteps walk closer to her then stopped right beside her. She closed her locker then saw it was Rick. Holding two cups of coffee in his hands, and smiling brightly as he extended one to her.

"Coffee?" he offered.

She smiled, shaking her head before taking it from his hand "You've been doing this for awhile now. Is this like, a thing you're doing now?" she questioned with an amused smirk.

He though about it "Yeah, I guess it is. Since you love coffee so much, I might as well save you the trouble and get one for you while I'm already there, right?" he reasoned.

"Yeah, you're right" she smiled.

They stared at each other, smiling and lost in each other's eyes. They were interrupted when they heard a voice.

"Hey baby" Josh greeted her with a kiss.

She smiled to him "Hey, I thought you had practice?" she questioned.

"I did, but now it's over. I'm just coming to check on my girlfriend" he said as he pulled her close, wrapping his arm around her waist.

"Well that's very sweet of you"

Rick cleared his throat loudly making them look. He smiled then extended his hand to him.

"Hi, I'm Rick, we've met" he said.

"Oh, Rick. It's been awhile. I didn't know you two are friends?" he admitted.

"Yeah well, our friends are friends. So it's natural" he said, smiling a little forcefully.

"So anyway, I need to head to class. I'll see you at lunch" he kissed her again before leaving.

As soon as he was far enough Rick spoke "Wow, clingy much?".

She shook her head "As much as I appreciate you worrying about me, I don't need you babysitting me. He's a nice guy. And if he hurts me, I'll make sure he pays before you could even lay a finger on him" she assured as they walked down the hall to their first class.

"I'm just saying, he doesn't have to tell you everything. He obviously had to leave for class soon anyway. It's pointless, and it's really stupid to point out the obvious" he reasoned.

She rolled her eyes "He's just being concern. Besides, I think it's kinda sweet he wants me to know where he's heading" she blushed a little.

His brows furrowed "I'm just saying because I care. It's really a waste of precious time. And I know how much you love your time" he reasoned.

She rolled her eyes again as they stopped near their class "Sure, dad. I'll tell him to stop. Happy now?" she questioned.

He smirked "Very".

Shaking her, she walked inside. He followed her, as usual.

After class ended, they walked out together. Reaching her locker, they spot their-now dating-friends, once again, making out. Kate shook her head but couldn't help a smile from creeping to her lips. They left them alone, and Rick watched them in amusement as Kate kept her books into her locker.

Then, Kevin and Jenny walked towards them, hand in hand. Kevin immediately rolled his eyes when he saw them.

They walked towards the spectators."Let me guess, they've been like this since you came" Kevin sighed.
