High School Life Part 2:After The Summer

The alarm went off then Kate groans but she sits up on her bed and she rubs her face with her hand."Time to wake up" she said to herself.She stands up and heads to the shower to get ready for school.The summer is over and the gang spend their last day having as much fun as they can then they sat on a hill to watch the sunset together.

After she is ready she head downstairs and sat at the table to eat her breakfast.A few minuets later Lanie appear and sat next to her."Morning Kate" Lanie greeted Kate with a bright smile."Morning Lanie.You seem happy today" Kate says after Lanie sat down and eat her breakfast."I'm just in a good mood" Lanie replied.Johanna came from the kitchen holding her daily cup of coffee "Good morning girls"."Good morning" they both answered then Kate looked at the watch,they promised to come to school early."We have to go now.Bye mom" Kate kissed her mom as they exited the house and walked to school (it isn't far from her house).

When they arrive the boys are already at their lockers that are conveniently located near each other,while waiting for the girls.They walk to their lockers side by side talking about all the times in the summer that they didn't spend with each other."Good morning ladies" Rick greeted them with a bright and childish smile."Morning guys" Kate said rolling her eyes at Rick."Where's Jenny?" Lanie asked when she doesn't see the blonde girl."She said she'll be a little late and not to wait up for her" Kevin explained.

They kept the things they don't need in their lockers then walk to the garden.It's still early in the morning and classes don't start until 8.Kate and Lanie walk next to each other while the guys walk a few steps in front of them.Lanie kept looking at Javier as they walk."Why aren't you with Javi yet?" Kate whispered to Lanie so the boys couldn't hear."Kissing doesn't mean they like you" Lanie said annoyed she asked that question."It's just so obvious that you like him,why can't you just tell him that?" Kate said looking at her best friend.Lanie sighed "I don't want to ruin the friendship I already have,not only with him but also with you guys.If it doesn't work out you guys will feel awkward" she looked sad but she's not really showing it,she doesn't like to show emotions.After the kiss they really just go back to being friends,they didn't treat each other any differently from their other friends.Kate placed a comforting hand on her friend's shoulder and Lanie just nodded and smiled.They sat at the garden until Jenny arrived.They talked about how much fun their summer together was and retelling the stories of what happened during the summer.

"Remember the time Rick tried to prank Javi and completely failed" Kevin said and they all burst into laughter."It was really hilarious.His face was priceless when he saw Javi standing behind him in stead of in his so called 'trap'" Kate said laughing even louder."Hey you wouldn't be laughing if that happened to you" Rick crossed his arms over his chess and pouted."Actually that will never happen because I am an excellent planner" Kate said with a voice that is challenging Rick.

"Oh yeah?"

"Yeah"

"Fine let's make a bet.Whoever get to prank Shane and never get caught is the winner"

"Fine I accept.I'll make you eat you're words,writer boy" Kate said as she shook Rick's hand.Shane is the school bully and when you mess with him you're pretty much dead.They also found out Rick loves writing since the first week of summer from Lanie's story and now Kate won't stop calling him writer boy."How much do you wanna bet?" Rick asked."50 dollars,do you accept?" Kate asked."I'll make it a 100" he never turns down a challenge,even when he knows he's gonna lose."Wo..." They can hear from their friends,the boys to be more specific.Jenny arrived after a few minutes.

When the bell rang they head straight to their first class.Jenny and Kevin have Math and the rest have History.Kate sat next to Rick who is sitting next to a blonde girl named Gina.Lanie sat next to Kate and she can tell that Lanie felt really happy that Javier decided to sit next to her instead of the girl that was clearly flirting with him when he first entered the class.
