I looked up at the beautiful familiar face.

"Get behind me!" He softly growled.

I obeyed him and stood behind his tensed body as he stood his ground.

Ha this looks like a scene from a twilight, I never finished watching the first one.

Really is that what I'm thinking about in this kind of situation!

"Something I can help you with?" He said.

"Run along kid! we saw her first." One of the drunk said and moved closer to us.

"Leave now." His voice strong and dominant.

"Forget it let's go man!" One of the drunk said and walked off.

The rest followed behind him.

Well then, that was a bit disappointing. I was hoping to see some action. But then again they couldn't even stand still.

"Are you alright?" He asked turning around to face me. I start thinking once again where I've seen him before.

"Yeah I'm alright thank you."

"You shouldn't be wandering the streets alone at this time." He says with anger.

"I'm not wandering I'm heading back to my hotel." I reply back pointing down the street. "Do I know you?" I ask getting frustrated.

"What do you think?" He let's out a small chuckle.

"Yea, I think do know you." I look at him as we walk down the street towards the hotel. His dimples showing even though he's not smiling.

"Kendall." he says and takes a pause. "Does that ring a bell?" He looks towards me.

"Kendall Schmidt?"

He slightly nods. "Yeah that's me."

I stop walking "No way!"

"Shocked right?" He stands a few feet in front of me.

"More like surprised!" I move and stand in front of him. I study his face.

His hair that used to be flat is now in a quiff. His jawline long and so masculine. His eyebrows no longer bushy like before.

"It's rude to stare." He says playfully but in a tough way.

"Sorry." I realise that I've been gawking at him for the last minute.

"You look so different."

"Everyone changes after high school." He starts to walk off.

"Yeah they do but you completely transformed!" I catch up behind him.

"And you're saying like it's a bad thing."

"Yeah but what happened? Where'd you go? You didn't even finish school?" I had so many questions.

"Is this your hotel?" he asks dodging my questions.

I looked at the hotel that I'm currently staying at as we stop in front of it. "Yeah, but answer my questions!" I ask more of a plea than a demand.

"I don't have to answer anything."He says. "Get inside." He orders me before leaving.

"Where are you going?" I yell at his back.

"None of your business. Now get inside." He stops and turns around to look at me one more time before walking off.
