Chapter 15: A New Chapter

"That's the last of it!" I say to Louis and mum who helped me get my belongings in my car.

I can't believe summers almost over and I'm moving to Chicago tomorrow!! I'll have to start looking for a place to stay when the semester starts, for time being I'll be living at campus.

Hannah's car pulls up into our driveway as we head inside.

"Hey!" She runs up to me and greets me with a big hug.

"Where's Chloe?" I ask pulling out of the hug and we walk inside the house.

"She couldn't make it." She obviously seemed pissed off at her.

Even though the three of us are the closest friend but there's something about Chloe that didn't make us close.

"Rebecca go upstairs and get changed before all the guest starts arriving." My mother orders me.

"What guest? Mum why are you making it a big deal? I'm only going to college. It's not like I'm going forever." I look at her while places blows along the kitchen bench.

"It is a big deal. There's a few people who wanted to say goodbye to you before you left. Now stop wasting time and go get dressed into the dress I bought you." I decide not to say anything and grab Hannah's hand and take her up to my room.

The night went by with small talks with a few people who watched me grow up in this small town and was over right on time.

"Well I should get to sleep. I have a ten hour drive tomorrow!" I say getting up. Zayn and his family had decided to stay over for a while.

"Goodnight, drive safely and all the best." Zayn's mum hugs me. "Thank you Trisha." I hug her back. I give a little nod to the rest of the family members before walking up the stairs and get followed by Zayn. I stop halfway up the stairs and look down at him standing at the bottom of the stairs.

"I never got to say goodnight." He makes his way up the stairs to where I am leaning against the wall.

He places on hand on the wall next to me and moves closer to kiss me.

I stand numb as his lips make contact with mine, unsure what to do. Though I couldn't ignore the spark between us that has kept decreasing.

He grazes his tongue along my lips seeking for entry but he pulls away when interrupted by a cough.

I look down to see Hannah awkwardly standing there.

"You're family is waiting for you." She says with her arms folded. "I'll give you guys a minute." She says and leaves.

"I could drive up with you." He says stroking my cheek. Something that used to make me crazy inside.

"It's a ten hour drive. You'll get tiered."

"Ok, but I'll come visit you once you're settled in." He says and places a kiss on my cheek. "Goodbye then." He gives me a quick peck on the lips and flashes his famous smirk before walking away.

I end that chapter of my life by saying goodbye to my close ones and start the new journey at five in the morning by myself.

With a few stops on the way I make it to the campus by four in the evening.

I find my way to the dorms and my temporary room. I open the door to find the room with two empty beds on each side of the room. I place my bags on the left side of the room near the window.

I unpack my things and get settled in my side of the room and fall asleep.

I wake up the next day late in the day. Thankful that classes don't start till next week, giving me enough time to rest up and get used to the place.
