I walked around the edge of the pool, listening to the water lapping gently on the slated edge. I lingered awkwardly on the corner, watching their bare backs move slightly as one of them talked or laughed. As they still hadn't seen my figure hovering near the pool, I not-so-gracefully walked over to one of the sun chairs sitting behind them, planting my butt down on the blue and white striped cushion. As I waited for their little gossip session to end, I shuffled my feet, turning them inwards so the tips of my vans were touching one another.

     I waited.

     And waited.

Maybe I waited a little more. Not that I was procrastinating or anything.

Rolling my eyes at their ignorance of my presence, I not-so-subtly cleared my throat, which in the end came out as more of a growl-squeak. Not the most attractive sound I've ever made in my life.

The four heads stopped moving, and the sounds coming out of their mouths ceased to exist. Their bodies slowly turned to face me, eyes widening slightly when they saw it was that girl who intruded their home. I eyed the pool cautiously, tempted to jump in and disappear from view.

As they stared at me, I stared back, just as determined no to break the silence as they were. We were just staring.

Until, one of the boys, with dark brown hair, stood up and cleared his throat, in a much better fashion then I recently performed. A growl-squeak isn't even what you would call a normal noise. It's more like something you'd hear from a wombat-slash-koala-thing.

     "Who are you?"

"Um, I'm just," I spluttered out, overwhelmed by the amount of eyes resting on me. It was like trying to lift up an elephant and give it a piggy-back. "Faith." I finished, mentally banging my head on a wall at my own dorkiness. Trust me, I'm not always this awkward. I'm just going to say it's because their all shirtless. There. problem solved. I'll just go grab them some shirts.

I was curious myself, as to why I hadn't jumped in that pool yet. Hmm.

The boy who was previously looking at me, moved foreword, blue orbs dancing with amusement. "Well, Faith" he started, my name rolling off his tongue with ease. "I'm Lachie" he introduced himself. And my, what a great introduction. His messy hair was slightly damp from the pool, and when he shot me a lop-sided grin, I smiled back, not seeming to be able to look away from his stare. Damn.

The next boy, who was standing across from me, sat on the a chair beside mine, and gave me a smile. "Carter" he stated, sending another grin my way, as a smiled back, taking in his appearance. He was attractive, like the rest of his brothers, with blonde hair and green eyes anyone could peg him as a surfer. Hell, I did. At least I didn't have to worry about any awkward encounters, as he was a year younger. More like a baby brother. A second one. Leaning back in his chair, the next one introduced himself.

The boy who had spoken to me first, looked my way, not moving from his leaning position on the wall near the pool. From here I could see his dark brown eyes piercing into mine. "Mason" he murmured, openly staring me up and down. Granted, I did this to them, but I'm a girl. Cut me some slack. Mason was sexy, definitely. Rugged appearance, conceited smirk, but I don't suppose anyone could argue if I said he wasn't all good vibes.
