Never have I been asked that question before.

Like with me, you're getting ready for bed, all dressed and are just about to slip under the sheets and call it a day, and there's a knock at your door.

Room service? No.

What I get instead, is much better. I get a dripping wet teenage boy, asking to sleep on my floor.

Why? Beats me, ask him.

"Umm" I sounded out. Sue me if I'm still a little bit confused having a last minute sleeping arrangement thrown onto me at 10 at night with no explanation.

What I must look like right now... my hairs probably lopsided in my loose bun, I can feel it swaying around up there. Lets not forget my not so modest pjs that have been seen around the house a few times. I've managed to slip around the eyes of Mike and Liz, but I probably need a big jacket or something, anything to cover up a bit. Nobody can forget my cute bunny slippers, sitting snug on my feet.

"Can I?" he asked exasperatedly, droplets of water gliding off the strands of his hairand making a small puddle just outside my door.

"Carter, why?" Yes, it was Carter. A soaked and tired Carter as a matter of fact. My eyebrows raised expectantly as I waited for his response.

Slowly his shoulders sagged as he mumbled some words just clear enough to make out "A pipe broke in my bathroom so the floor of my bedroom got all wet. When I went to go ask the others, all I got was 4 doors shutting in my face" By now a red tinge had made its way onto his cheeks, making me suck in my cheeks to stop myself from 'awwing'.

"Even Liam?" I asked, and as much as I tried to stop the laughter erupting from my mouth, a small chuckle couldn't help but escape.

Carter rolled his eyes as he grew slightly impatient "yes, Faith, even my own little brother rejected me. Now can you please let me in or do I have to sleep in the hallway?" As much as that would've been thoroughly entertaining, the nice side of me won over as I opened my door a little further to let him in, closing it softly behind me.

I watched from my bed as he laid down his pillow on the wooden floor, before laying himself down as well. He fidgeted around on the hard floor, his body slipping around as he moved. Anyone would agree that he looked especially cute right now.

You big pile of mush Faith.

Oh, come on.

What in the world caused the words to come rolling off my tongue was a mystery, forever to be left unsolved "You look kinda uncomfortable. Do you wanna...umm... sleep up here?" There they went, my words flying down from the bed, to be heard from his ears.

Carters eyes widened a considerable amount before looking at my probably horrified expression, and grinning "I didn't know you were that upfront Fai, but anyway, that's fine with me" This had to be the second time I was put into a position like this today, as I remembered my encounter with Lachie at the top of the stairs.

"If you want to sleep on the floor that's fi---" I started off.

"No, no, I'm coming" He interrupted, grabbing his pillow and hoisting himself off the floor and making his way over to the bed, hopping in on the other side.

Before I turned off the light, I turned around and looked him dead in the eye, with what I hoped to be the most serious face I could muster at 10:15 pm. "Listen here buddy" I said, drawing an invisible line along the blanket in the middle of the bed "No funny business, you hear? My side, your side." I stated, before bringing my arm back and seeing Carters amused expression etched onto his face.
