I sucked in a breath, knowing we were going to have this conversation sooner or later. And I was a procrastinator. Turning around, I met his unwavering gaze. He and I both knew that I wasn't going to be able to stay pissed at him for much longer. It was tiring trying to avoid someone, and it was exhausting trying to hold a grudge against someone when they made a mistake, and a drunken one at that.
"Mas-"
He shook his head, interrupting me. "Just hear me out before you say anything." I slowly nodded, motioning for him to go on. "I know you and I didn't exactly start off on the fight foot, and I take credit for that. And I know what I did the other night was wrong, and I don't expect you to forgive me just yet, but I'm hoping we can try and start over, and maybe I can try not to be as much of a dick."
I let out a sigh. "What you did was pretty low, Mas, but it's cool, I mean just don't come into my room again when your drunk and I think we'll be cool." We both chuckled, and I took a few more steps towards him, holding out my hand for him to shake. "And yeah, lets start over."
He moved his hand toward mine, but stopped half way. "This doesn't mean I'll start playing hide-and-seek with you and Liam, though." he added as an afterthought, his signiture smirk playing on his lips once again. I rolled my eyes and nodded, grabbing onto his hand and shaking it.
I stepped backwards, saying goodnight to Mason, and walked down the hallway towards the stairs. Once I made it to the top, I lumbered down the hallway, my eyes half closed and just managing to step around Puss-In-Boots, who thought it was cceptable to sleep in the middle of the hallay.
"Oi, Faith," A voice whisper-yelled. "Hang on."
I paused outside my bedroom door, peering down the dark hallway, only just managing to make out Lachie's face coming towards me. I raised an eyebrow. "Yeah?" As much I don't want to admit, he still looked mighty fine in the darkness, where I could barely see him.
"You gotta get up at eight tomorrow, 'kay?"
"Um, why?" I asked, resting a hand on my door handle. "'Cos I'm not making you breakfast, if that's what you're wondering."
He shook his head, chuckling. "That would be nice, but tomorrow I get self-proclaimed pranking rights, and you need to help me." he stated, smiling at me.
I grinned at him. "Don't you get that anyway?" He smiled and shrugged leaning against the wall and peering at me, waiting for me to say yes. He knew I would. "Okay, I'll help. Now let me go to sleep." I mumbled, opening my door and stepping inside, Lachie watching me with a smile smile on his face, before saying goodnight just before I closed my door.
