Dragging a hand down my face, I let out an exhausted sigh, shaking my head to try and rid myself of the nightmare I was previously having. Reaching blindly for my phone, I picked it up from the bedside table, pressing the home button and squinting as the light shone brightly in my eyes. I saw it was 5:00.Oh bollox.
Knowing I wont be able to fall back asleep, I threw the bed sheets off me, put on a pair of white ugg boots, and slipped out of my bedroom. I walked up the hallway, coming across the stairs that led to the roof.
As I opened the door, I figured why Lizzie said its where we could hang out. She didn't know what was up here. Don't panic, because truthfully, nothing was up here. Just the cool breeze and the night sky. I walked out and laid down on the cool concrete, looking up at the thousands of stars that covered the night sky.
I shivered slightly as the cool breeze hit my face. "Don't you think it's a bit early?" A voice asked me from behind.
I smiled lightly "Yeah, but who am I to care?" I said coolly.
"Good point" Carter replied, lying down next to me. "You know, not many people come up onto a roof at four in the morning without a reason, right?" he quizzed, glancing at me with an amused look in his eye.
"Does not being able to sleep cover it?" I asked, raising my eyebrows in question.
He shrugged "I suppose that's acceptable" he said turning to smirk at me.
I let out a big dramatic sigh of relief "I'm so glad you approve" I said, rolling my eyes.
We laid together in a comfortable silence before Carter captured my attention "So, how about a game of 20 questions, cause we don't really know anything about each other."
"Sure, why not." I smiled.
Carter started off "Favourite Colour."
"Silver"
I smirked "Favourite food"
Carter whined "That's too hard!" I raised my eyebrows expectantly. he huffed and thought about it "Jelly beans"
I burst out laughing "I wasn't expecting that! Jellybeans!"
"Yeah well, jellybeans are cool. Now moving on. Favourite sports."
"Basketball and Skateboarding"
Carter looked surprised "Really?"
"Yeah, I was never a girly girl, never really opened up to many people about my feelings except my best friend, and besides, basketball and skateboarding is fun." I said, thinking back. I shook my head, and looked back to Carter who was actually listening intently. "Anyway, have you ever had a girlfriend?"
"Nope"
"Really?" I said copying his earlier words.
"No, I've never liked a girl enough" he replied
"Fair enough"
"Have you ever had a boyfriend?"
I chuckled lightly "Nah"
He smirked "Impossible."
I chuckled "Very possible." I mumbled.
Carter smiled lightly, shaking his head.I rolled my eyes at him. He checked the time on his phone, as we both noticed the sun was coming up through the trees. "7:00" he murmured "Lets go down to the kitchen for an early breakfast, I make some mean bacon and eggs"
I chuckled "Let me be the judge of that." and with that, I raced back to the door and down to the kitchen.
----------------------------------
After Carters surprisingly yummy breakfast I went upstairs to change out of my...showy pjs, and into something else.
I swung open my closet door and all my clothes came into view. Puling out a few choice things, I got dressed and went to look in the mirror. I was dressed in black denim shorts, a grey mid-tee and some black vans. I went over to the mirror and did my regular process-- mascara and eyeliner and then raked my fingers through my hair.
I flung the door open and went down the stairs. Well, when I say walking, I mean stumbling. I tripped over my feet and tumbled down the stairs, landing on something hard, that wasn't the floor. I slowly looked up, only to be met by two very amused, chocolate brown eyes.
"Err, heyy Mason" I mumbled slipping out of his grasp.
"Had a fun trip down the stairs?" he inquired sardonically.
"Oh shut up, I'm a clumsy person. Declare me a danger zone for all I care" I said, throwing my hands up in the air exaggeratedly.
"Alright, little spit fire" he chuckled.
"hmff" I huffed. I may be a bit of a spit fire but a little spit fire... no.
"Alright there sweet cheeks?" Mason asked, too nicely. Sweet cheeks! Seriously! I am no ones... sweet cheeks, that's just...NO
"Oh your gonna get it!" I screeched lunging at Mason and tackling him to the floor... once again. "I'm no ones sweet cheeks!" I yelled, the sound echoing through the house.
Mason turned over so he was now on top of me "Oh yeah?" he asked mockingly.
I threw him back on the ground "Yeah!" and that's how we started rolling around on the floor, my trying to tackle him, and him, being stronger, kept rebounding me.
We were both unaware that an audience had made an appearance until Rider wolf whistled "Some ones getting hot and heavy in here." he remarked, making Mason and I stop fighting, and turn our heads to face Rider, Carter and Lachie.
"What did you just say Rider?" I asked very nicely. I flicked a strand of dirty blond hair from my face and looked at him, raising my eyebrows.
He slowly started backing away, nearing the back door "Uhh nothing.." he said distantly.
"Nothing my ass Rider Miller!" I yelled as I jumped up and launched myself towards him, chasing him out the back door. He was fast, ill give you that, but I could nearly match his speed.
I was gaining on him when I heard a familiar voice call out my name. Slowly I turned my head to see Ally, looking at me incredulously, probably wondering why the hell I was chasing Rider.
I reluctantly stoped by hunt for Rider and walked over to Ally "Hey" I said casually, leaning against the wall nest to the front door.
Yes, I did chase him all the way around the front.
"Umm hey" she answered warily. I laughed at her worried expression. She probably thought I belonged to the nut house.
"I'm cool now, don't worry. I already tackled Mason for calling me sweet cheeks so I haven't got any violence in me at the moment" I reassured.
I could see her visibly calm down a she brushed some dust of her grey skinny jeans and look up at me with a grin.
I looked at her cautiously as she grinned even wider. Then, the words toppled out of her mouth.
"We're going clubbing!"
