Screeching, I zoomed onwards, my butt banging against the saddle.

     I was going to die.

"Stop you stupid horse!" I shrieked, but the horse continued to skyrocket out of the paddock and towards to boys. "Help!" I yelled, as the boys turned towards me, letting the sheep run away. I could barely even see the boys, as my whole body was viciously bumping up and down on the saddle, causing about twenty-seven new bruises to form.

I tried to grab on to the reins. attempting to steer the horse or have somewhat control over it.

     I shouldn't have done that.

Suddenly I was flung sideways off the horse, my eyes squeezing shut and waiting for the ground to hit me. My eyes popped open as I realised I had landed in a pile of hay, bits and pieced tangled in my hair, and a large pile on my shirt and jeans. I almost laughed at how absurd it was for me to actually have some luck.

Huffing, I heard the sounds of hoofs coming towards me, as well as a whole lot of laughing. This is embarrassing.

"I guess a horse is harder than a motorbike" Carter mused, unable to hide the grin on his face, letting out yet another howl of laughter. Immature sixteen-year-old-boy.

"Faith, what the hell did you do?" Rider asked, amusement dancing in his eyes as he dismounted and came over to help me up.

"Nothing!" I exclaimed. "The stupid horse was just sitting there and eating some stupid grass, so I did what you told me to do by gently squeezing it's tummy..." I contunued looking at Lachie as he smiled slightly. "And them vrooom!" I finished, flinging my arms in the air.

"Maybe you shouldn't ride horses anymore" Lachie grinned, hopping off his horse as well, coming over to lean his arm on my shoulder. Any contact with this boy had me getting flustered. I hummed in agreement, chuckling a little at the end. "Well, we've gotta keep rounding the sheep up" he said, gesturing to Rider and Carter. "So we'll meet you back inside the house?"

"Yeah" I chuckled. "Don't count on me coming anywhere near here again." I said, lugging his arm off my shoulder and starting to walk back to the house. He grinned at me, causing a small smile to tug at my lips, as he disappeared from view, going back to the others.

I continued back to the house, swinging the back door open, feeling the cool air hit me, causing a small shiver to run up my spine. Looking around I sighed, when I saw the Mason wasn't around, and sighed again, when I realised that there was no heater in the kitchen. There was Mike, though.

"I thought you were up with the boys" he stated, taking a sip of his coffee, flipping through the pages of a newspaper.

"I was..." I trailed off. "But, um, the horses didn't like me" I mumbled going over to the fridge and taking the carton of orange juice out, grabbing a tall glass and pouring it in, as Mike chuckled, standing up and taking his cup over to the dishwasher.
