Chapter Four

As I started to walk with rose she ask I question, I wasn't sure how to answer. "So Annabelle...you like him don't you?" She said with a giggly grin. "What! No! I mean..no..well" I said nervously. "Oh come on! I'm your sister! I know when you like someone. And that boy..you like" She said with a sly face. 'I don't even know if he's even human so I can't say I like him yet' I thought.  "I really don't like him!" I said back. "Sure you don't" she said sarcastically. "Rose!" My mom called out. "I need your help! I need to go get some groceries for me! Will you run out and get some!?" My mom said to rose. "Ok mom!" She said back. Even though I was the oldest being 18 and rose being 16, my mom wanted rose to go out and drive more then me. I wasn't a bad driver, she just didn't really ask for me to get any thing, which frankly was a blessing. As rose drove off I wonder where Adam went. I still don't know why he lied and why I was so interested in him but I was. So I decided to go and find him. I did what I did last time since that seemed to work. "Adam! It's clear my sister left!" I yelled out. "Hey" I heard from be hind me. "Ah!" I screamed out. "Oh sorry I didn't mean to scar you!" He said while laughing. Usually I would get upset when people laughed at me but for some reason his sweet laugh took me over and soon I was laughing with him. After we were calm enough to speak he spoke. "So um Annabelle. When do you think your leaving?" He asked. It kinda made me sad. It was like he was asking how long until he didn't have to see me. "Um probably like 3 more days why?" I asked back. "Oh um no reason." He said back. "Ok" I said. "Anna?" He said quickly. "Yes?" I said back."Would you um like to go out? For a picnic? You know just to get to know each other better." He asked. 'YES!' I said in my head but out side I said, "sure! That would be great!" I said excitedly. "Ok I'll um see you tomorrow then? And like say 7:00?" He asked kindly. "Ok!" I said back. "Ok! See you tomorrow..bye!" He said back happily. "Ok bye!" I said. 'Wait are you about to go on a "date" with a fish?????' I thought to myself. But even if he wasn't "normal" he was still a really nice guy. And he even said that it was just to get to know each other. As I walked back to the cabin I saw Megan out side on the porch. 'Oh no. I hope she didn't see that.' I thought. "Hey Megan!" I said hoping she didn't see anything. "Hey Anna! You want to come with me? I'm going to go swim in the lake." She asked. "Um ok sure!" I said back. 'Wait! He's in the water! What will he do when he see's us?!?' I thought. "Ok just let me get ready! You should do the same" she said back. "Ok meet out here when we are done ok?" I asked. "Ok!" She replied. Megan is only 12 but she's really mature for her age. As I walked in to the cabin I went straight to my room and got ready. I walked back outside to see my sister waiting for me. "Ready to go!" She said excitedly. "Yep let's do this!" I said back. Still with that thought in my head we walk up to the waters edge. She was the first to jump in, then I followed. We swam and swam for about two hours and I never saw him. I did fill weird though. It has always happened to me since I was little. Ever time I get in water, or touch water I feel strange. I've never known what it was but I didn't care. Me and my sister were going to have some fun for once! After we got done we got out, I had brought some towels so we both dried off and she went inside. I stayed behind. I've always like to just sit on the side and just relax. As I walked over to a nice chair and sat down I heard a noise. And by now Adam had scared me enough so I already knew it was him. And I was right. He jump up out of the water and change into a human. Although I was still in shock every time I saw him do that, it didn't surprise me as much now. "Hey Anna" he said. "Hey!" I said back. "So um I saw you and your sister in the water." He said to me. "Yeah she really wanted to swim. Sorry if I disturbed you!" I said kindly back. "Oh No! You were just fine. I wanted to ask you something though." He said a little awkwardly. "Ok?" I said back curious. "Do you feel strange when you get into the water?" He asked me. "Yes! How did you know?" I asked back. "Oh um I'll um tell you later!" He said quietly back. "Wait no! What is it?" I asked anxiously back. "You really want to know don't you?" He asked me back. "Yes I do." I said back. "Anna" he said. "Yes?" I said back. "Your life is about to change." He..said..back.
