Chapter Five

"Ok?" I said scared. Just as he was about to say it, my sister Rose drove up with grocery in the back. "Bye!" Adam said quickly. "Wait what?!" Before I could even get all the words out he was in the water and had changed. This time though I saw him change back! He's tail was a bright greenish blueish color that started of blue and faded down to a green. It's was beautiful! I'm was in amazement as my sister Rose called for me to help her get the food in. "Anna I need some help!" She said. "C-c-coming!" I answer back with a stutter, I was still in awe of what I just saw. I grabbed some bags and rushed them in. I put them up and right as I got done I heard a noise. It was my sister sky! She sound sick! I became worried and decided to go check on her. As I walked into her room I saw her and my mom sitting on her bed. "She sick Anna" my mom said sadly. "We will need to leave first thing in the morning so we can find a doctor." My mom said. "Sorry Anna. I don't think I can wait." Sky said to me. "It's ok" I said sadly. I was so sad! Tomorrow I was supposed to go on a "date" with Adam! Now we had to leave. I decided since it was very late that I would pack up and then head to bed so I would be well rested. As I woke up I heard my mom telling everyone we had to go. So I grabbed my bags and went out. As I put them in the car Adam walked up behind me. "What's going on?" He asked. "My sister sky is really sick. We are having to leave early to go and get her to a doctor." I said back. "So your leaving...now?" He asked. "Yes" I said back. Just as I had gotten done saying that my mom started to walk out. As soon as she did Adam like always jumped back into the lake. I never knew where he went though. It wasn't a very big lake. I guess he must have some type of home down there I guess. "Annabelle I need to tell you something." My mom said to me. "Ok what?" I asked back. "I didn't know I did this but I accidentally bought this cabin..and since we haft to leave now I wanted to tell you something.. since this is now our house and we have another one at our real home.. would you like to stay here? To live here? Your the only one old enough to." She said to me. "YES!!!" I yelled out. "I would love to!!" I said. "Ok then..take your bags and put them inside. We will come back to tomorrow with your car and your stuff." She said back. "Ok! Thank you so much!" I said back. "Your welcome!" She said. As my family got in the car and drove off I was so excited! I had my own home now!! Adam!! I can't wait to tell him! "Adam!!" I yelled out. Splash! I saw he jump out of the lake. "Hey. Where's your family?? Why are you still here?" He asked me curiously. "Well my mom accidentally bought the house..and well she gave it to me!!! It's now mine! I live here now!!" I said excitedly. "Really!!" He said in a happy tone. "Yeah!" I said back. "Well um now that you live here I guess nows the best time to tell you." He said back. "Tell me what?" I
replied. "Anna" he said in a strange tone. "Yes?" I said back. "Your...a...mermaid"
