Chapter Ten

"Really?" Adam said looking for reassurance to the answer Anna just gave. "I don't know anymore" she said. "I know this is a hard time for you" Adam said trying to cover up the disappointment in his face, but it wasn't working. The thought of him being sad that she said that, almost made her happy.. Almost.. "You got that right!" She couldn't help but say to him. "I've just found out I... I COULD BE A MERMAID!! These kinda things just don't happen a lot!" She said with anger in her voice. "I know, I'm so sorry I should have told you sooner but I...I couldn't" Adam said while turning away from her. "Why not!" She asked. "Because...I..ugh" Adam couldn't seem to find the words. "Tell me..now" she demanded. "I couldn't risk you leaving." He finally said. "What do you mean "couldn't risk" ? She asked Almost furious. "If I had told you the truth, there was a chance you would leave" he said. "I kno-" he sentence was suddenly cut off. He slowly looked into Anna's eyes, but instead of the soft eyes she was used to seeing, she saw something wrong. He's eye... They were filled with hate. "Adam?" She asked almost scared. Out of no where he jump at her, knocking her down on the ground, with one swift swing he hit right in the jaw. She started bleeding. "ADAM!! STOP!" She pleaded. "I.....I can't" he swung again, this time hitting right it her head. She fell unconscious. Adam lifted her up onto her horse, grabbed there supply's and took off. (The next day) I'm swimming! There's a cloud of white. I'm under water. Someone is talking. "Mom?" I called out. "Shhh my child". The voice was unfamiliar. A women came toward her. Bright red beautifully long hair. Gold eyes. And a..a crown? *Bang!* I was awake. Head pounding like a million bricks where crushing it. I groaned. Opening my eyes I find that I'm in some sort of tree but I'm on a a bed. As I sat up I could feel every drop of blood rushing down from to head to the rest of my body. I felt so dizzy, so light, like a feather. One blow, a single blow, and I was gone. As I started to look around I saw I wasn't very highly on the ground, only a couple feet. I looked around to  see what look to be the remanence of what appeared to be a fire. There was one single tent next to it. I look at my legs to find they where covered in dirt and mud. "Huh?" I said softly. Then I hit. Like a bolt of lightning I remember. Adam, hitting me. Fear in my body. Those.., those eyes... I'd never seen so much hate. But why? Adam stop! I...I can't. Those words replayed in my mind. What does that mean?? He can't?? I tried to block out the thoughts so I could see what was going on. I hoped off my bed (or whatever you would call it) and tried to walk around some. I saw my horse, and Adams. I walked up to the tent I saw. Opening it, expecting to see Adam. But nothing. No sigh of life. "Ahh I see your awake" I jumped at the sound. I turned around to face the one thing I didn't want to see. "Adam?"

So sorry this is soooooo short but I have had some thoughts and the twists that are coming are just to many to continue this chapter on so you'll just have to wait a little longer😏 (I know I'm just the best😂) anyways thank you soooo much for the support and as always. Thanks for reading!!!
