The bell rang.
The students were released for lunch.
Natsu and his friends sat on the rooftop.
"Where's Gray-sama?" Juvia asked, looking around.
"Oh, you're right! Ice pee isn't here! Lucy isn't either." Natsu said in realization.
"That's strange. We all saw them in class. Where'd they go?"

As soon as the bell rang and she snuck out of Natsu's sight, she scurried to behind the library building.
She found Gray kneeling down in front of a box sitting under the trees.
"Hi, Gray-san!" Lucy walked over.
"Oh, Lucy. Nice to see you didn't change your mind." Gray smiled back at the blonde as she bent down next to him.
The small white puppy poked its head out of the box, his orange tipped nose reflecting the sunlight as it turned towards Lucy.
"Pun!" It barked(?)
"Hm? Why is your nose orange?" Lucy smiled, letting it sniff her hand.
The puppy licked Lucy's hand, making cute puppy noises.
"He likes you." Gray smiled.
"What's his name?" Lucy asked, sitting down with her legs criss-crossed.
"I haven't named him yet. Couldn't think of anything." Gray shrugged, relaxing his legs.
"Hmm..." Lucy hummed, watching the puppy as it climbed into her lap and curled up. She stared at it's orange nose intently.
"Plue!"
"Glue?" Gray raised an eyebrow.
"No, with a P! Plue!" Lucy corrected, petting the puppy's soft white fur.
"Where'd ya get that name from?" He asked.
"There was a little boy named Plue that worked at my castle. He had bright orange hair, just like his nose!" Lucy explained, smiling.
"He seems to really like you. Why not take him home?" Gray suggested.
"M-Me? But what about you? Don't you wanna keep him?" Lucy asked, confused and a bit baffled by his proposal.
"Nah. My dad's not a big fan of animals. Plus, I have a feeling he'd be happier with you." Gray grinned, petting Plue on the head.
"Hai! I promise to take good care of him for you, Gray-san! Rest assured!" Lucy nodded, clearly determined.
"I know you will." Gray pat her on the head.
Lucy smiled sadly at the gesture, being reminded of her older brother. But then smiled happily, looking up at Gray.
"Arigato, Gray-san!" She suddenly thanked.
"Huh? Where'd that come from?" He asked, looking at her with slightly wide eyes.
"I just felt like saying it." Lucy smiled.
"Weirdo." Gray chuckled, ruffling her hair.
She just flashed a toothy smirk and let out a smug giggle.
"Whatever you say, baka Gray!"

Lucy sat in the living room/kitchen, playing video games on the floor in front of the TV with Plue in her lap. She sat with her legs criss-crossed, her eyes fixated on the screen.
The cheery victory tune played as the words 'YOU WON!' popped up in big, green letters.
Her face lit up.
"I did it!! I did it!!" Lucy cheered, hugging Plue to her chest.
Joy was pouring out of her, her eyes sparkling.
"Thanks, Baka Gray!"
