'ᶜᴬᴿᴰˢ ᴬᴺᴰ ᴮᴸᴼᴺᴰᴱˢ'

Natsu's alarm went off, and he reached over and slammed his fist on the snooze button. He groaned and sat up, the blanket falling off of him. He looked over to see Lucy still asleep, holding his hand gently.

He rubbed her head gently and slipped his hand from her grip, getting up and putting the blanket back over her.

He yawned and slid open his closet door, taking out a clean uniform. He changed and lazily brushed his hair with his fingers, grabbed his bag, and headed to the living room/dining room. He put down his bag and began eating.

"Ohayo! Where's Lucy-san?" Wendy asked, sitting down next to Gildarts.

"Still sleeping." He answered after gulping down some toast.

                       ☽ ⚂ ☾

Lucy woke up, alone. She sat up and rubbed her eyes.

"Natsu-sama?" She looked around, but he was nowhere to be seen.

She got up, and saw a pile of clothes on the desk, along with a small note and a flip phone.

'Evergreen-san said to leave this for you! She says she hopes you like them! Sleep well, Lucy-san!

Lucy put down the note and changed into the outfit, which she slightly struggled with.

First, she put on the pink bra and underwear that was folded neatly on top. Then, changed into the rest of the clothes.

The outfit was a plain white button-up blouse with a dark red bow around the collar, black jean short shorts, along with some black thigh-high socks and dark brown knee-high boots. (A/N: idk im not a fashion designer)

She found a comb and brushed out her hair, putting it up in a side ponytail that swished around her waist, tying it up with a black ribbon. She put the phone in her skirt pocket.

"My hair has gotten longer..." She muttered, rubbing her tired eyes as she left the room and went to the living room, where Gildarts was watching TV.

"Oh, you're awake!" Gildarts grinned at her.

"Hai. Where is Natsu-sama and Wendy-sama?" She asked, sitting down on the seat pillow at the table on her knees.

"They're at school. Natsu let ya sleep in." Gildarts yawned, sitting across from her.

She nodded. He took out a deck of cards and set them on the table.

"Know how to play?" Gildarts asked.

"Cards? I've played a few times before." Lucy picked up one of the cards and examined it.

"Well, let's see what ya got!"

                      ☽ ⚂ ☾

Natsu sat on the roof with his rather large group of friends. He had just finished explaining the previous days' events.

"NEW OTP~!!!" Mira squealed.

"Mira-nee, she's some girl from space or something. She can't possibly feel love or anything." Lisanna scoffed.

"She may be extraterrestrial, but she could have feelings." Erza folded her arms.

"That's true! She could!" Levy agreed.

"Could Lucy-san become one of Juvia's love rivals?!" Juvia gasped.

"She's actually pretty nice. She's not rude or disrespectful." Gray shrugged.

"That's right! Lucy-san is very kind!" Wendy nodded.

"You guys have to meet her!" Natsu grinned.

"Seems pinky's excited 'bout his girlfriend." Gajeel smirked.

"Shut it, metal face." Natsu snapped.

"You know you like her, Fire breath." Gray rolled his eyes.

Lisanna sucked her teeth, cringing in jealousy.

"I wonder what her and Gildarts are doing right now..." Wendy looked to the sky, thinking of possibilities.

*RING*

"Well, let's go find out!" Natsu grinned.

"Hai!" Wendy nodded.

                       ☽ ⚂ ☾

They stood in the doorway of the kitchen, dumbfounded.

Lucy and Gildarts were sitting on opposite sides of the table, both holding a deck of cards. Well, Lucy was holding one. Gildarts held half of the entire box. Gildarts' face held a dead serious expression as he glared at the cards spread out in front of him. Lucy was staring down at her single card blankly.

She placed her last card down, a small smile spreading on her lips.

"I win." She stated.

"Th...That makes it..." His eye twitched.

"279 WINS?!!?!!?!??!!" He shot to his feet, flailing his arms.

"279?!" Wendy exclaimed.

"Are you using her to practice your little technics, Pops?!" Natsu shouted in rage.

"ME?! We've been playing all day and I've only won TWICE!! She's cheating!!" Gildarts jabbed his finger at the blonde accusingly as animated waterfalls of tears streamed down his cheeks.

"Cheating? Gildarts-san, you were cheating the entire game." Lucy raised her eyebrow.

"Oh shush you!! Just go already." Gildarts flopped back onto his butt and shooed her.

"Go where?" Wendy asked curiously.

"To Igneel-san. He's been calling for me all day, but Gildarts-san smashed the device." Lucy explained, holding the remains of her pink flip phone.

"Never mind that. Let's head over to the facility then!" Wendy smiled, taking the smashed up phone and putting it in the trash.

"Let's go!" Natsu grabbed Lucy's hand and ran out of the house, running towards the train station.

As they ran, Lucy stared at their intertwined hands with wide eyes. Everything else filling her vision blurred. Her entire focus on their hands.

'Warm?'
