Bullets, bombs, missiles.

Everything they had, they used to attack the Omni.

It was bigger then any of them had ever seen, the monster standing at possibly 200 feet. It's body was sharper, tougher, and bigger built.

"N-Nothing's working!" Wendy exclaimed, tears in her panic-filled eyes.

"Dammit! This should be doing something!" Igneel grit his teeth, frustrated.

"It's gonna destroy Magnolia!" Gray growled.

Natsu clenched his fists. He walked forward, straight towards the monster.

"W-What are you doing, Natsu-nii?!" Wendy stuttered, her eyes wide.

"...I refuse to let Luce die in vain."

-Flashback-

Natsu and Lucy sat on the cliff that overlooked the city of Magnolia, the sun setting and they sky a mix of oranges, pinks, and purples.

They were talking and laughing cheerfully.

"Wendy-san asked me a strange question today." Lucy said as their laughter died down.

"Huh?" Natsu looked to the blonde with curiosity.

"She asked me why I fight."

At that, Natsu raised his eyebrows.

"Well, why do you fight?" He asked.

"...At first, I didn't really have a reason. I fought because I had to. It was my duty. Of course I fought to protect my family and my people, but I never had a real reason. Then, everyone I thought I was protecting...was gone. But I kept going. Even with no backbone; no purpose." Lucy explained, the soft breeze rusting her hair.

"It was pitiful. I wish someone was there to see it. A little girl covered in wounds you couldn't even begin to imagine, with not even enough energy to pick up her own weapon. I should've died that day. But, as fate would have it, I didn't." She added, staring down at her hands.

"Luce..." Natsu was frowning at the blonde, feeling guilty.

"I'm glad I fought." Lucy smiled.

"Even with all the pain and suffering. I'd do it all over again if it meant coming to this glorious time period and meeting all of these incredible people." She stood up, staring at the sunset.

"Why?" He asked, standing up as well.

"Because I'd get to meet you, Natsu!"

His eyes widened. His cheeks reddened.

"I survived! Though everything!" She smiled brightly, turning towards the pinkette.

Her blonde hair blew around her face gracefully as she grinned.

"I'm alive!!"

               -Flashback End-

"She went through so much... And survived every bit of it!! We can't let this damn ugly bastard ruin everything she fought for!!!" Natsu shouted.

His words filled everyone with determination.

"Lucy-nee's death will not be meaningless!!" Wendy stepped forward.

"This bastard's goin' down!!" Gray smirked.

"Lucy-san hadn't finished training me yet." Erza said, a deadly aura surrounding her.

Natsu and Gray shivered, Wendy and Romeo just smiled nervously.

"Alright!! Let's throw everything we got at this bastard!!" Igneel yelled.

Everyone cheered, pumping their fist.

"...Hope or Despair."

"Which will steal you away from your beloved blonde, Natsu Dragneel?"
