A week later. The FTC had finally finished the repair construction, so everything was back to normal. No Omni had come, and everything has been calm and cheerful for the time being.

A few days after the most recent battle, Lucy healed up and began attending school with Natsu and the others.

Since she wasn't used to so many people,--and was incredibly shy--, she usually clung to Natsu; hiding behind him.

Anyway, the last bell of the day rang, students gathered their things and headed for home.

Before Natsu could leave his classroom with Lucy, his teacher called out to him.

"Natsu!!" Gildarts shouted, halting the pinky.

Natsu looked over to him, as did Lucy.

"C'mere for a sec." Gildarts waved him over.

"Go find Erza or the others, kay?" Natsu told Lucy, who nodded and left the classroom.

Natsu hurried over to the teachers desk.

"What is it, Pops?" Natsu asked.

"Igneel wanted me to check in with you about Lucy. Is she doing okay, how is she adapting; ya know, stuff like that?" Gildarts explained, relaying the message.

"Yeah! She's doing great! Other then socializing and stuff. She's way to shy right now." Natsu sighed.

"Well, we'll leave that to you. Also, he wanted to know if anything seemed different about her at all lately?" Gilarts said in a questioning tone.

"Huh? I haven't noticed anything. Why? Did something happen?" Worry filled Natsu's onyx eyes.

"No, nothing happened. I'm not sure why he asked that, either." Gildarts shrugged.

"Weird."

The two talked for about 20 minutes before Natsu decided to get home. Natsu jogged down the large staircases of the silent school building and to the front entrance of the school.

His expression turned into a confused one.

Rain was pouring down and thunder was rumbling as lightning struck in the skies.

He groaned, remembering that he had left his umbrella at home.

"You've got to be kidding me." He rubbed his temples.

"Ah, Natsu!"

Natsu turned to see Lucy standing near her locker, her bag and umbrella in her hands.

"Luce? I thought you went home with Wendy." Natsu raised an eyebrow as the blonde cheerfully made her way to his side.

"Well, I was worried when I saw the rain clouds coming, so I waited for you." She smiled.

"You didn't have to wait for me, ya know." He frowned, feeling guilty.

"Apologies are only words of regret." Lucy popped the umbrella open.

"It's better to trust and regret then to doubt and regret." She smiled, offering him the umbrella.

"How are you so wise?" Natsu returned the smile, taking the umbrella.

"I guess 400 years in a crystal does the trick." Lucy giggled as they started walking.

They walked in comfortable silence, Natsu holding the umbrella over their heads.

Lucy looked over at Natsu secretly. He saw his shoulder getting wet, since he was tilting the umbrella so it fully covered her.

She leaned on him, closing the small space between them.

"L-Luce? What're you doing?" He stuttered, a small blush rising on his cheeks.

"How cliché." She smiled.

"Get away from him, you ugly b*tch!"

Lisanna stepped out from a few feet in front of them, her fists clenched.

"You're persistent." Lucy scowled in annoyance, glaring at her.

Lisanna saw all of the scars on Lucy's body, and especially the one over her right eye.

"Nice scar." She smirked, Lucy's eyebrows furrowing.

"Lisanna? Wait, Luce, you know Lisanna?" Natsu looked from and to both girls.

"She--"

"Shut it, slut!!" Lisanna cut Lucy off.

Natsu's eyes widened at her outburst. Lucy clenched her fists, her already low patience fading.

"Who do you think your talking to, Stratuss?" Lucy asked in a strong, authoritative voice.

"W-What?" Lisanna's glare and rage-filled expression faltering at Lucy's glare and tone.

Even Natsu was shocked.

"I'm not some lowly peasant like yourself, Snow White." Lucy stomped forward, walking out from the protection of the umbrella.

"I could easily pick you off the face of this planet. With a snap of my fingers, you could be erased from every timeline to ever take exist. I'm not taking a bite from your apple, girly. Now, tell me." Lucy stopped when her nose was inches from Lisanna's.

"Are you going to make me kill you? I'd be more then happy to return the favor." Lucy smirked, lighting her index fingertip up in flames and holding it in front of Lisanna's right eye.

"...N-No..m-ma'am..." Lisanna choked out, her body trembling in fear.

"Great!" Lucy smiled, lowering her arm and taking a step back,"Now be a good peasant and run on home, okay?"

Lisanna nodded, still terrified, and ran off without a word.

Lucy sighed, her body now soaked from head to toe from the rain.

"Luce."

The blonde turned to look at Natsu, who had a serious face with a tinge of confusion.

Lucy sighed once again, a small smile tugging at her lips.

"Let's go."
