Part 11 - O.W.L.S and more

I hid in the dormitory crying my eyes out. I felt so terrible, I just wanted the ground to split in two and swallow me up. I heard the door open and close, but I didnt look up. After a few minutes of silence, there was a shuffling of feet and I felt hands on me. Hermione and Ginny were on either side of me hugging me.
"Mia, you silly girl ! " Hermione said.
"You really think we would doubt
you ?! "
I stared at her in shock.
"And the whole gang got proof too - Draco had a fit that you didnt tell him" said Ginny with a smile and she winked. Even Hermione had to laugh.
I felt even worse now. Knowing him, I knew that he did that to save me from any accusations.
"I have to go find him" I said, getting up and wiping my face with my hands.
"Mia, just be careful " said Hermione. "Umbridge"
"I will be !" I said as ran out of our dormitory.
I found Harry on one the couches, looking totally grumpy, on my way out.

I looked for Draco at some of our places, but he wasnt anywhere. I wondered if he was back in his dormitory. Finally giving up, I went up to the library, having an urge to cry.
I went to our regular spot, and found Draco there, sitting with his hands and head on his knees. I knelt down beside him and touched his soft blond hair, stroking it gently.
He looked up with a start, and then looked away.
"Im so sorry Draco" I said, tears pouring out of my eyes. "I know what I did was wrong! I was afraid you wouldnt let me go, and I was afraid for my friends !"
He didnt say a thing.
"Draco please! Say something ! I was wrong ! PLEASE !" Now I was sobbing breathlessly beside him.
I could have just died. But not this.
"Say whatever you want Draco ! Please just  say something !"
I felt his arm around me, and I launched myself into his arms and cried bitterly. He just held me tightly, kissing my forehead.
"Im sorry Draco, I swear I will never keep any secrets from you!"
"Im sorry Mia" he said softly. " I was wrong too. I didnt tell you that I was part of the Inquisitorial Squad. I thought if I told you, you wouldnt tell me about this army of yours to help your friends"
I knew he was crying against my shoulder silently. He held me so tightly, murmuring soothing things to me.

Ginny's father had some sort of accident at the Ministry, and Harry and the Weasleys left school to visit him. My nightmares continued. Some days it just left me sleepless till the morning. Draco and I met regularly at the library, which was the only place we got some privacy.
Draco was upset for some reason, and he wouldnt tell me what. Sometimes, he would just grab me into a hug or kiss me when I was busy telling him something. And he his hugs and kisses felt more rough and needy.

Harry was keeping things secret now - mostly from me. That should be should be because of my connection with Draco. But, why ?

The O.W.L.S had begun, and all noses were buried in books, and the exams were as tough. Draco helped me with potions, which was a weak point for me. He was really good with it.
"And thats how you make it" he said, concluding his lecture, one evening. We were sitting on the cold floor of our library, our spot.
"You are so sexy when you act like a know it all" I said teasingly.
"Is that so, Harper ?" Draco said, smirking.
"Yes it is, Malfoy"
He laughed, and I felt my heart leap. I grabbed his tie, and pulled him closer to me, our faces just inches apart.
"And what are we going to do about that, Harper?" he whispered to my face.
"Let me show you, Malfoy" I whispered before pressing my lips to his, holding his face in my hands.
I felt his smile against my lips, and his arms around my waist, pulling me onto his lap. We were in the middle of good kiss, when we heard a groan.
We sparng apart, and I jumped off his lap, only to find Ginny standing by the bookshelf with a hand against her eyes.
"Come on guys ! In the library ?!"
I looked at Draco, blushing heavily, and saw him resisting the urge to laugh.
"Ginny !" I said, feeling embarrased.
"Yes, Harper ?" she said with a grin, hands on her hips. "And the Inquisitorial Squad member, I see"
Draco sat back against the bookshelf, and said," Pretty smart for a Weasley"
"And you, for a Malfoy" replied Ginny.
I was surprised to see Draco smirking at Ginny.
"Fine ! He wants me to leave, thats why hes being nice to me !" said Ginny with a laugh." Remember the O.W.LS !"
Just as she left, he pulled me back to his lap, and said," We have some unfinished business here, dont we ?"

We were in the middle of an examination, when we heard an explosion. A small one. Then bigger ones. Everyone looked around in confusion. There was a 'swoosh' of brooms, and Weasley twins zoomed into the hall, dropping fire crackers everywhere. All the students jumped off their seats, and cheered them, as Umbridge fumed.
"How DARE you !" she yelled, only to have a cracker thrown at them.
Everyone ran out to the grounds with the twins, and in between all the commotion, I saw Harry fall to the ground, and Hermione, rushing off to him. I went up them, only to hear him whisper, "Sirius"
