Zayn

"Hey." I hear Shaylen whisper in my ear.

How did I get so lucky? To be so close to the most perfect girl on the planet.

"Mornin'." I say looking up to her smiling at me.

She ruffles her hand through my hair and normally, if anyone ever touches my hair, I will automatically slam their head against the fucking wall, but with Shaylen she makes it seem so intimate and caring.

"Why are you staring at me?" She asks smiling.

"Nothing." I quickly say bashful that she notices.

"I am going to make breakfast, Zayn. Have any requests?" She asks and I shake my head. She trails off to the kitchen and it makes me smile.

My phone buzzes for the tenth time and I finally open the texts that I have been receiving. There is something I haven't told Shaylen...

Alex:

Hey ;)

Zaynnnn where are you?

What would you say if I went up to your house right nowww? :)

Alex. Alex is a girl that I messed around with back here and that is the main reason I didn't want Shaylen to come here. I knew that Alex would somehow get back intouch with me and it really bothers me to see my girlfriend here knowing that Alex is only a few miles away.

Shaylen

There is something bothering Zayn, I just know it. He is never this quiet or non-perverted in the morning and it really makes me feel like I have done something wrong.

"Hi Shay!" I hear a small voice behind me. I turn around and find Waliyha smiling up at me. She really does idolize me.

"Hi Waliyha... Do you know why your brother has been really quiet today?"

She thinks for a minute and shrugs.

I get a call on my phone and it's Sarah.

"Hello?"

Zayn

I do have some guilt about not telling Shay that one of my former friends is texting me. I mean, it's not like she asked or anything. I know she suspects something is wrong but I don't have the heart to tell her. Between the fight that when on at Christmas Eve, I am just done with the whole world.

"Zayn?" Her voice wakes me up out of my trance and I walk downstairs to the kitchen.

"Yes?" I say putting my arms around her waist.

"I know you're not going to like this and all, but I have already said yes to doing this, so you have no say anymore." She says bravely.

"What are you talking about?"

"Sarah called..."

"And?" I ask sounding more annoyed than I intend to.

"She asked if we could babysit her nephews while she's at her new job."

"You said yes?" I sneer as she nods.

"Yes! What was I supposed to do? Turn down a baby! I mean, one of them is 7 and the other is 3..."
