Chapter 17

To me it felt like the longest elevator ride ever. I balled my hands into fists at my sides and restrained myself from turning around as his hands roamed wherever they desired. In my head, I knew I should be stronger, but at the moment I was just proud of myself for not jumping him in the moment. Finally, the elevator reached the bottom and I let out a breath of air as Luke stepped away from me. I attempted to walk out, but he grabbed my wrist and turned me towards him. He looked angry and I scowled at him.

"Aria. You can't end this. We're fucking mates!" I shook my head and took a deep breath before pulling my wrist from his grip.

"I don't need you anymore. As a matter a fact, you are making me late for a date as we speak. So goodbye professor." 

I smiled to myself as I began walking towards Tyler's place. I did it. I finally did it and sure it may have hurt a little bit, but deep down I knew it was for the better. The only downside to everything was that him and his friends taught all of my classes apart from one. As I got closer to Tyler's I pulled myself together and put a smile on my face before knocking. He opened it with a grin on his face. His dark hair was messy on top of his head and his green eyes were filled with an emotion I didn't quite know. He pulled me into his dorm and shut the door before pushing me against the wall and wrapping his arms around my waist. His lips connected with mine and I could feel him smiling against my lips. For the first time, I felt guilty being with Tyler. I wasn't sure if it was because of Max or maybe even Luke, but it didn't feel right. Tyler was such a sweet guy and I didn't wanna hurt him.

After another minute, he pulled away panting and his eyes were clouded with lust and were darker than before. I licked my lips before going and sitting on his bed. Tyler followed close behind. My phone buzzed and I took it out of my pocket.

From Charlie: Cupcake! I wanna hangoutttt, Im BORED. 

To Charlie: I'll be home sooon boo bear.

"I think we gotta reschedule this. I gotta talk to Jase." Tyler frowned, but nodded his head and took my hand, while leading me to the door. He kissed my lips softly before whispering a goodbye and letting me go. I sighed and trudged back to my dorm. 

Charlie was sprawled out on the couch when I walked in, throwing popcorn in the air. I rolled my eyes and giggled. His eyes snapped to mine and he screamed before jumping off the couch and tossing me over his shoulder. I squealed as he spun us in circles before dropping me on the couch and crawling on top of me. 

"I KNEW YOU'D COME HOME!" 

"I said I was gonna, stupid. " He scowled and began tickling me. I laughed and laughed until tears began to fall from eyes. Charlie chuckled and stopped before wiping them away. I flicked his nose and pushed him off me. Shit! Max was in my room. I told Charlie I had to pee before sprinting to my room and locking the door behind me. Max was laying on the bed with his eyes closed and his chest moving up and down. I smiled softly before tip toeing to the bathroom and peeing. When I came out Max hadn't moved and I creeped over to the bed before crawling in beside him. His arms automatically pulled me to his chest and I smiled. I kissed his cheek and his eyes fluttered open. He gave me a sleepy smile and I crawled on top of him.

"Charlie wants me to hangout with him."

"But But But! I wanna be with you!" I kissed his lips softly and promised I would be back soon. I gave him a wink over my shoulder as I went back into the living room. I glanced around and frowned when I noticed Charlie wasn't there. I slowly walked towards the couch and I screamed when a hand wrapped around my ankle, yanking me to the ground. I groaned as my head collided with the glass table and winced as it shattered. My eyes were clouded with black dots and I grabbed my head only to feel something warm oozing from my forehead. I winced and tried to get up, only to fall back down. I rested my head against the carpet and sighed. A pair of light green eyes were above me and his mouth was moving, but I couldn't hear anything. My eye lids began to droop and he shook me. I groaned and tried to swat him away from me. 

A pair of arms scooped me up and I rested my head against their chest. My eyes closed and I let sleep take over. 

Dream:

"NO JASE STOP" Water came at me and I began crying as I looked down at my favorite grey stuffed bear that was now soaking wet. Kellan came over to me and offered to dry him off. I nodded, wiping a stray tear from my face. He took my bear and closed his eyes, trying to concentrate. My eyes widened as my best friend burst into flames. Tears began flowing down my cheeks to the grass. I ran. 

I didn't stop running until I ran into a little blonde boy with bright green eyes and a frown on his face. He looked at me funny and I scowled. He gave me a hug and I pushed him away, threatening to tell my dad on him. He rolled his eyes and pulled me into a hug again before handing me a cupcake. 

I woke up to the smell of alcohol and crinkled my nose. My eyes felt heavy as I struggled to open them. An IV was in my arm and my head was throbbing. I lifted my arm, but it was quickly pushed back down.

"Don't move. You gotta save your energy."

"What happened?"

"Uh.... You kinda fell and hit your head." I scowled at Charlie and he gave me an innocent smile. Luke was asleep in the corner of the room.

"What's he doing here?"

"I couldn't get him to leave. He demanded that he got to see you when you woke up, so he could make sure you were okay." I rolled my eyes and winced. My body felt like shit. Charlie laid down next to me and wrapped his arms around my waist. I forced a small smile and leaned against his shoulder. 

"Sorry Cupcake." I nodded and kissed his cheek before falling back asleep.
