Chapter 11

Vanessa's POV
When I saw Roni beaming me with a rose in her hand, I kind of knew what happened. I gave her a nodding smile and she immediately knew what I was thinking. She nodded her head and skipped to the car. YASS, Vollins! After being single for years, Roni finally have a Boyfriend. As for me, everything happens for a reason. I'll just let fate handle it. When we walked into our car, our father turned around and asked Roni," So... Do you have something to tell me?"
"Well...uhh no. I mean yes. Well, I am Collins' girlfriend..."Roni said uncertainly.
"Congrats Roni!" I shrieked, genuinely happy for her, patting her on the back. She looked at me and sat back, taking her phone out. When we reached our house, we walked to Roni's room. Roni immediately went to snapchat.
"So guys... Um... I have something to tell you. So... I have a boyfriend! And that guy is someone you guys know...well...if you watch our videos. He is Collins. So Vollins is for real guys!" Roni said, her face turning red.
  We then did our homework but Roni was obviously not concentrating. Her phone kept buzzing every second and she would steal glances at her phone and message that person back. I secretly looked at her phone and realised that it was Collins. She was pretty quick to put a heart beside Collins username. Cheesy cheesy.
Collins' POV
I could not believe I did it! I made Veronica my one and only. I stored the camera back into a safe spot first before jumping onto the couch to text her.
Collins: What are you doing? 😜
Veronica 💕: Doing homework 😣
Collins: Poor thing. I miss you. Are you free tonight?
Veronica 💕: Yes
Collins: Let's go on our first official date tonight. Nessa can come too if she wants.
Veronica 💕: Can't wait!!! See you!
  I squeezed my phone tightly until my knuckles turned white.  I booked a classy restaurant for three and chose a checkered shirt for the date. A few hours later, I checked the time, 8pm. Time to pick the girls! I drove my car to their house. I walked towards their door and brought a bear I had bought for Roni and a box of Krispy Kreme donuts for Nessa. I checked my hair and knocked on the door. Roni answered it. Gosh, she looks stunning. I gave her the teddy bear and gave Nessa her box of Krispy Kreme. I gave Roni a huge hug and held her hand. Nessa followed closely behind, munching on her donuts contentedly. Roni was beautiful. Our fingers locked and I could feel her contentment. It was wonderful. Roni took the front seat while Nessa sat at the back- eating her 3rd Krispy Kreme donut.
When we reached our destination, I saw that it was packed. When we got out of the car, I opened the door for Roni and offered her my hand.
"Actually, I'm kind of full after eating all those donuts. I'll go to the nearby Krispy Kreme to get more donuts. Just call me when you're done." Nessa suggested.
"If you want to... I'm sure we can do some adjustments to the reservation." Roni said.
We then took a seat and walked to our table. The candle in the middle flickered, providing a romantic feel. Just then, I saw her shivering and realised that since she was wearing a dress, she was probably cold. I instinctively walked over and sat next to her. I cuddled her and held her hand. She snuggled and leaned in. It was amazing. In the end, we ate our dinner side by side, with our hands still locked together. Just then, I heard her sniffle.
"What's wrong?" I asked, concern written all over her face.
"I don't know. It's probably because after being single all this time and looking at people with their boyfriend,I never thought I could be experiencing this. Thanks Collins." She murmured as she looked up at me with tears glistening in her eyes.
I smiled and pulled her closer, willing to lend a listening ear. We were comforted by each other's presence. After Roni had calmed down, we then went to fetch Nessa before I drove them home. Nessa went home first while Roni and I lingered behind.
"Thanks so much." We turned to each other and said in unison. We stared at each other in shock and laughed. She gave me a dazzling smile before she opened the door. I grabbed her hand before saying," Thank you Roni."
She whispered a thank you before leaving. I decided to drive around the neighbourhood before heading home.
Veronica's POV
As I walked home, I fumbled for my keys. Suddenly, as I was about to grab the keys, someone knocked me from behind and darkness enveloped me.
