Vanessa's POV
Roni has not come home yet and we are worried. I am thinking that Collins brought Roni on another one-to-one date without me but that seemed impossible since Collins would always inform us beforehand. All of the waiting around was doing us no good. I decided to call Collins.
"Hey Collins. Is Roni still with you?"
"Nope. She left half an hour ago. Isn't she back?"
"Collins, I think that Roni is missing."

Collins' POV
"Collins, I think that Roni is missing."
I could not believe what I just heard. I immediately hung up without saying goodbye and sped off to the twins house. Nessa was standing outside.
"My parents are in the house in case Roni comes home. Let's split up."
"No. Do not split up. It's getting late. We can't risk you getting missing too." I said.
We retraced Roni's steps but to no avail. It was like as if she spontaneously combusted. There was no trace of her, it was like as if she did not exist.
RING!
Nessa's phone rang. She looked at me and picked up the phone. She put it on speaker.
"Is this Vanessa Merrell? Listen Vanessa Merrell. I have your sister Veronica Merrell. If you do not want her to be hurt, you better listen to me. Meet me at Acres Lake at 12pm sharp. Do not tell anyone. Do not call the cops or else..." The caller trailed off before he hung up.
Nessa gasped. I was shocked. Who would kidnap Roni? Nobody would dare lay a hand on my girlfriend.
"We need to call the cops." I said, as my jaws tightened and I clenched my fist.
"No... They must not hurt Roni." Nessa placed her hand on mine as her watering eyes looked up to me. I let in and stomped away. What was I suppose to do? If Roni was here, she would have calmed me down. I walked Nessa home and she told me not to follow her to Acres Lake. She gave me a sympathetic smile and walked into her house. I could see the fear in her eyes and the worry creased upon her face. As I sat in my car, a plan formed in my head. A very good plan.
Vanessa's POV
I wore a sweatshirt and some comfy jeans. I wanted to be able to run away when danger arrive. I knew that Collins would try to follow me so I set off early. I had sweaty palms. I lied to my parents that Roni had forgotten that she had a school project and stayed at her friend's house to finish it. They were suspicious but I took some of Roni's clothes to seem like as if I was going to give it to her. My heart was palpating wildly. I hope that I would not die today. I turned my headlights off and turned my engine off. Acres Lake was a deserted place in the middle of a dense forest. Rumour had it that a boy was killed there and his ghost still lurks there, wanting to seek its revenge. I cut through the trees and saw a silhouette of a man. He was tall and lean.
"Hello... Sir?" I whispered, my voice trembling.
He gave a cackle and spun around. He slowly removed his hood and the moonlight that filtered through the leaves, providing the small source of light, reflected upon his face. I could not help but let out a shriek. He was hideous. He had a scar on his cheek and half of his face seem to have been burned away.

"Nice to meet you... Vanessa Merrell. Now, let me introduce myself. I am Sideous, a true twinner, and if you want to see your sister alive, than I want you to live with me... Forever."
