Chapter 6

Collins' POV
It has been over a week since Roni last talked to me. I'm not sure whether it is due to our busy schedule or if she is too shy to talk to me. After thinking for a while, I decided to message her.
Collins: Hey

Veronica:Hey! Wait a second. I swear if you are sending me some lyrics... I've been watching your videos 😂

Collins: Haha. But in all seriousness... Are we still friends?

Veronica: Yes. Why would you ask that?

Collins: Nothing. Do you want to come over to play Truth or Dare? Ask Nessa

Veronica: Sure 👌 See you

Oh phew. Thought I had really screwed up. On the bright side, she's coming over! I'll ask Devan to play too. After all, the more the merrier right? I just cannot wait.

Vanessa's POV
We were going to Collins' house to play Truth or Dare! Not a game that I love but it beats having to study. We reached the Key's house and Devan opened the door. He gave each of us a hug and invited us to the living room. Devan is an artist and his paintings were gorgeous. He is so talented. We sat down in a circle and spun a bottle. It was super fun. Just then, the bottle landed on Collins. He chose dare. Devan read out the dare from Twitter, "I dare you and Veronica Merrell to date 💕 #Vollins" I looked at Roni and Collins. They were both blushing. Devan and I both made the "ooh" sound in unison.
Collins faced Roni and asked," Can you go out on a date with me tonight?"
Roni tried to act cool and laughed," Do we have any choice?"
Devan and I cheered and we continued the game. I was sure that tonight's date was the start of something special...
Veronica's POV
I wasn't sure whether to be excited or nervous. I should not take it too seriously as it was just a game. We decided to go to a movie and I wore a tee shirt and long pants with a jacket. I did not want to look to fancy as it was only a movie. Just then I heard a knock on the door and I walked towards it. Collins smiled at me and offered me a stalk of rose. I thanked him and he took my hand. We walked towards his car.
"You don't have to get into so much detail.." I whispered.
"The fans want us to date so we might as well do it well." Collins winked.
I felt butterflies in my stomach and we jammed on the way to the cinema. We finally reached and Collins collected the tickets. We took so many selfies together. We then walked into the cinema. Halfway during the movie, my head felt heavy and my eyelids were closing. I placed my head and leaned back. Before long, darkness overtook me and I fell asleep.
Collins POV
The movie was so good! I wonder if Roni enjoyed it. As I turned around, I saw Roni fast asleep. She looked so peaceful I could not bear to wake her up. I understand why she was so tired. After all, she had to attend school, run a YouTube channel and act too. I gently picked her up and my hands wrapped around her waist. She stirred but did not wake up. She was not as heavy as I expected and I carried her and placed her gingerly at the back of the car. I got into the driver seat and sat down, catching my breath. All I could hear was the deep breathing of both of us. Buckling my seatbelt, I drove off.
The trip back home was smooth. I tried to avoid bumps so that I would not wake Roni up.
When I reached her house, I was not sure whether to wake her up or carry her home. I decided to carry her and I lifted her up slowly. I was kind of sad that she was not awake. It made me seem as if I was having a date with a dead body. I knocked on the door sand Nessa opened it. She was about to open her mouth to say something but when she saw Roni fast asleep, she nodded her head and led me to her room. I tried to control my chuckle when I saw her clothes strewn all over the floor. Typical Roni. I placed the rose I had given her on her table and wrote a note saying that it was the best date night ever. Thank you Roni.
