My mom and sister left when the visitor hours were done and we were served dinner. Jenny was nice enough to go out and buy us real food instead of the hospital food that no one liked.
We dug into our salads. Along with the green stuff there was water, a ham and cheese sandwich and a small chocolate bar in a bag for a treat.
"This is good. I'll have to thank Jenny again when we see her." Camila said with a mouth full of salad.
"She's been doing this since I first came here. Apperantly there was something about me that she felt connected to." I said with a smile.
Smiles had now become more frequent within this day. Camila made me smile more. It felt good.
"Wait, I need to ask this." I pointed at Camila's head. "How the hell do you still have a full head of hair and don't look like a vampire?"
Camila chuckled and put her hand to her head and pull off the wig, showing her bald head. My mouth dropped.
"Holy crap." I breathed.
"I'm self-conscious of myself. I wear make up to cover the pale. Unlike you, you look great." My lips let out a sound in disbelief.
"Are you kidding me?! I WISH I was given a wig with my hair colour! Or at least a wig at all. I can't wear makeup because I don't even know how to apply it so I look good." I ranted, Camila's hand in mine the entire time.
Camila laughed and pull her wig back into place. "I brought make up with me. Want me to do your face."
"Please!" I exclaimed. Camila reached over and picked up a small bag that was covered in pictures of her and other people.
"That's cute. Did your friends make it for you?" I asked as Camila climbed over to my bed and crossed her legs.
"Yeah. They're really supportive of me getting better. Warning that they'll probably visit tomorrow and be loud. But they're great I promise." Camila said as she dug out foundation and squeezed a little onto her fingers.
"Okay I'm ready. Beautify me, Ms. Cabello." I closed my eyes and let her work on my face. The foundation was cold and make my nose scrunch but after that I made sure not to move.
After a few minutes or so Camila dropped the fluffy brush from my face. "Okay, you can open."
I opened my eyes and Camila smiled widely. I took the mirror from her hands and shoved it infront of my face. I gasped. I looked healthy. The foundation and blush made my face match what my skin used to be, the mascara made my eyes look more alive and the lip gloss gave my lips colour.
I was in love.
My eyes began to water. "Damn, Camila. You're gonna make me ruin the makeup." I said and went to try and wipe my eye.
"Do you not like it?" Camila said and her mood dropped.
"No, that's the thing. I love it. I look normal for once." I said and gave a choked laugh.
I reached over and wrapped my arms around her and held her tight, but enough that I wasn't going to crush her.
"Thank you." I said. Camila said something into my shoulder that was muffled.
"What?" Camila moved her head and smiled at me.
"I said I have one more thing." She took out something in a bag and put it on my lap. "I was given two wigs to chose from. I liked the brown since it was closer to my I
original hair colour. I took this one just in case I wanted to switch it up."I took the wig out from its bag. It was exactly the colour my hair used to be. What a huge coincidence. It looked like it'd reach the same length Camila's did.
Camila took it from my hands and made me turn around. I sat between her legs and felt an elastic go around my bald head. Then warmth was pulled over my head and hair fell around my shoulder and down to my lower stomach.
I sat back to my original position and face Camila. "I want you to have it. The colour suits you." I looked in the mirror once more and began to cry. I looked like myself again.
"Camila, you have no idea what you've just done for me." I cried, hugging her again.
"You're welcome, Y/N." Camila whispered. Her thumbs wiped my tears and she picked up her fluffy brush again. "Let's dry those tears and fix it up a little.

Jenny came in later that day to change our morphine only to see us cuddled up together. We were watching F•R•I•E•N•D•S again.
Jenny then gasped when she saw the makeup and hair. "Oh my god! Y/N! You look beautiful!"
I smiled. "Camila did it all. She had an extra wig and makeup. I look like me again Jenny!"
Jenny shook her head in disbelief with a smile and leant down to hug me. "Well I for one love it. You've made her really happy Camila. I told you you guys would like each other." Camila smiled at Jenny.
Jenny crossed her arms in an 'I told you' pose. "Aren't you always right." I shook my head.
"I am. Make sure you don't get those tangled." She said, pointing to our breathing tubes, the quite literal only thing helping us breath. Without then I'm sure our lungs would collapse.
"We'll be fine, Jenny." I said.
"Go to bed earlier okay? You've got a check up at nine." I gave her a salute sign and turned back to the TV.
Jenny left and as soon as she did there were four girls that came running in like maniacs. I jumped up in surprise and Camila sighed.
"Camila!!" They shouted. Camila moved herself from my side at snd into her own bed that was only a few feet away from mine.
They each hugged her and sat around her. "How's this hospital?? We know how much shit the other one was." One of them asked.
Camila ignored them all and pointed at me. "This is my roomie, Y/N. Y/N, these are my best friends, Ally, Dinah, Normani and Lauren." She pointed to each one individually. I waved.
"Isn't that your wig?" Normani asked. She nodded.
"I gave it to her. She looks better than me with that colour." Camila complimented.
"No offense, but she really does." Lauren said, earning a small punch from Camila.
"What kind do you have?" Ally asked.
"Lung cancer. Same as Camila." I said.
"Does your friends visit you?" Dinah asked.
"Not as regularly as they used to. I told them to live their lives and not let me burden them." I told them truthfully.
"But, they're the people that can change the fact that you have that diease for a few hours, like you're not sick." Camila said.
"Join our circle of weird, you'll enjoy it." Camila leant a hand to me and I took it, climbing over to her bed and sharing it with her.
"So Y/N, do you like bananas?" Dinah asked, making everyone laugh.
"Yeah I do."
"Then you and Camila are going to be even better friends."
