Chapter 13: I don't deserve this

Akira's POV.

"Stop! Please spare us! Please. Kill me if you want but please spare my daughter." the lady begged.

I only stared at the woman.

"I'm sorry but I'm not a babysitter..." I said as I killed her and her whole family and burned their house.

"Akira? What happened? Where have you been?" Feitan asked.

"I killed someone again..." I said as I clutched my fists.

Then everything went black.

I slowly opened my eyes. I scanned the surroundings but I saw nobody. I guess I am in a hospital.

"Why? Why did I have to live?" I said as I put my hands in my eyes to stop muself from crying.

I tried to make a sword out of my nen but I was too weak.

"I don't deserve this." I said as I stood up.

"I don't deserve a second chance." I said as I tried to walk.

I fell to the ground at my first step but I quickly stood up. I leaned on the wall for support as I walked to the bathroom.

"A killer like me...needs to die." I said as I grabbed the scissors I found and ready to stab myself. My tears are falling down to my cheek.

When I was about to stab myself. Someone grabbed the knife and threw it away from me and pulled me into a hug. It was so sudden that I wasn't able to tell who is the person.

"You're Awake." he whispered into my ears.

As I recognized the voice, I rested my head into his chest and started crying. He put his arms around me.

"Killua...please...kill me..." I said between sobs.

"Tsk..." he said as he tightened his hug on me.

"I will never do that." he said.

"You don't understand, Killua. I don't deserve to live. I...am a killer, a spider." I said as I continue to cry.

"No..." he said. I was shocked by his response.

"You were a killer. You aren't now." He said.

"But-" I said but was cutted off.

"I understand. I am an ex assassin." He said.

"But now, I am a hunter, a brother to Alluka and a friend to you, Gon, Kurapika, And leorio." he said.

"I don't care about your past. All that matters to me now is now. We will accept you no matter who you are." Killua said as he placed one of his hand in my head.

His comment made me stop crying and blushed a bit.

Then I felt better, I was about to stand but he didn't let me. He is still hugging me.

"Killua?" I said.

"Just let us be like this, even just for another minute." He said as he hugged me tighter. "I...missed you, Akira..." He continued.

"I missed you too, Killua." I said as I hugged him back.

***Time skip***

Killua's POV.

I laid Akira in her bed. I sit beside her at the edge of the bed.

"Why are you not leaving yet?" She asked me.

Crap! What will I say. Will I say that I missed her. But I already said that to her. If I will keep on saying that, she might think that I am a creep.

"Neh, Killua?" she said curiously.

"huh? Oh yeah! I'm staying here to watch over you. I can't let you to commit suicide again." I said.

"Don't worry, I won't. So please rest." she said.

"Don't worry about me. I can stay awake without sleeping in 3 days straight." I said that made her giggle. She is very cute whenever she smiles.

"Hehe, You love acting cool, don't you? Come." she said as she tap the bed beside her, pointing me to sleep beside her.

I blushed furiously at the idea.

"Are you nuts?!" I shouted.

"Why?" she pouted. I feel I am as red as a tomato 🍅.

"You are a girl and I am a boy. It will be awkward." I said.

She bowed her head at my answer. Her hair blocking her eyes. Oh no, now she's sad.

Then I sighed in defeat and smiled. I walked up and sat beside her. She looked at me.

"It will lead you to no good, if you keep asking a guy to sleep beside you l, ya know?" I said as I patted her head.

"But I know that you won't do anything bad to me." she said as she rested her head in my shoulder.

"Don't be so sure." I said as I smirked at her.

"Whatever, Killua." She said as he closed her eyes.

"Killua, Can you tell me more about you?" She asked.

"Hmmm?" I asked.

"I wanna know more about my friends. If I can't know anything about myself. I must atleast know something about my friends." She said.

"I am former assassin." I said. "I came from a family of assassins, meaning all of them are assassins. I have 5 4 other siblings. There names are Illumi, Milluki, Kalluto and lastly Alluka. My dad and Illumi trained me at a early age until I became a pro assassin. But my brother, Illumi, secretly put a needle in my head, controlling me. Alluka at that time was locked in a room and they never let her out because of her powers. But when the time came, I burst and ran away from that hell. That's when I met Gon and the others in the hunter exam. We all became friends. We faced a lot of problems but, we kept strong. Then I finallu removed the needle in my head and rescued Alluka and we stayed at Whale Island where Gon and his family lives. Then we met you." I said.

"Akira?" I said but she didn't respond. Then I saw her sleeping on my shoulder.

"Tsk..." I said as I smiled.

"Oyasumi, Akira." I said as I kissed her in the forehead. Then I placed her head in my chest so she can rest properly.

Akira's POV.

While Killua is talking, I felt my eyelids were getting heavy. I have to keep myself awake or Killua will be angry. But after a few seconds, I felt asleep.

While I am sleeping, I felt something warm touched my forehead.
