Chapter 20: Regrets

Akira's POV.

While walking I assured the guys that I am fine. As we walked further, I saw a familiar house.

"That's their house!" I said as I pointed to the house with a red roof and peach walls that has a beautiful garden.

Then Alluka's stomach grumble. "Onii chan, I'm hungry."

"Huh? Okay, come on. Let's buy something." Killua said.

"Don't wait for us, we'll catch up." Killua continued as he looked at me.

"Oh okay, we'll wait for you at the gate." I said pointing to the gate.

Then me and Gon arrived at the place. We rang the doorbell.

Then a girl at my age came out from the door.

Killua's POV.

I bought Alluka some snacks and ice cream. Then we hurriedly ran to the house. Fortunately, we saw them waiting at the gate.

Then I saw the surname of the house owner. It was Akami. Perhaps it is...

Then when I looked at the gate, a saw a familiar figure.

"Fumiko!" Akira shouted.

I stood there shocked. Then the girl hugged Akira. So she is Akira's friend. After a few moments, the girl looked at us and she saw me.

"Kil...lua?" She said shocked. Who could blame her. I was shocked as well, after all these years, we met each other again.

"You know each other?" Akira asked.

I didn't respond. I don't know what to say. I can't describe what am I feeling now.

"Hai." I whispered, but enough for them to hear. "We were-"

"We were friends." Fumiko said cutting me off.

I felt sad and angry at the same time when she said that. Friends? So that's what you thought about me. Just a friend.

Akira giggled. "Good. Now he is Gon and the cute girl over there is Alluka, Killua's-"

"Sister..." Fumiko said.

"Huh? You know Alluka?" Akira asked confused. Fumiko nodded.

Then Fumiko looked down.

"Fumiko, are you okay?" Akira asked.

"Huh? Yes... My name is Akami Fumiko. Akira's friend. You can call me Fumiko." Fumikl introduced herself as she bowed.

"Uhh...please enter." Fumiko said.

Akira's POV.

We entered the house. Fumiko baked some cookies and served some chocolate shakes. Then we chatted a lot. I told her abouty story on how we four met and Gon told us some jokes while Alluka ate a lot of cookies and laugh at Gon's jokes.

But there is one person who didn't even said one word. It was Killua. He doesn't look like he's sick. He is very energetic at the ship and even while coming here. Now he seems pissed, angry or sad.

I caught him looking at Fumiko sometimes. Weird. If they are friends, why don't they talk with each other.

"Oh so you live here by yourself, Fumiko san." I was interrupted in my thoughts by Gon.

"Hai." Fumiko said.

Killua's POV.

The scene that Fumiko said earlier that I was her friend keep on repeating in my mind.

Then suddenly, a hand land on my shoulder.

"Are you alright, Killua?" Akira asked with a concerned look. I didn't answer and stared at her.

Why now? When I finally understand what I am feeling for Akira? Why? Now it feels like I am betraying her.

"Killua?" She said my name again.

"Huh? Yeah...I'm fine. I think I'm just tired." I said.

"Oh-kay, if yoy say so." she said.

Then the three of them continue to chat while I am looking at them with a bombarded mind.

Time flies. It's already 8 in the evening. We all settled down. Gon, Alluka and I will share a room, while Akira will sleep with Fumiko.

I cannot keep this much longer, I think I will ask some advise from Gon.

I approached my best friend, as I found him in the backyard sitting on the branch of a tree with his eyes closed..

"Gon." I said.

He didn't looked at me. I thought he was asleep so I decided not to disturb him any longer. "It's about the girl isn't it?" he said.

"Huh?" I said shocked.

"It's about Fumiko, isn't it?" He said as he looked at me. "Ever since we came here, you acted very weird. Even Akira noticed it." he continued as he opened his eyes.

I looked down. "So is it about her?" Gon again asked.

I nodded.

Akira's POV.

I sat infront of the mirror combing my hair.

"There done." I said as I finished.

"See, you have a beautiful hair and you don't take care of it." Fumiko said.

"Thanks." I said and then looked up at the clock.

"I will gonna check the guys." I said as I went to the others' room.

I saw Alluka peacefully sleeping in the bed but there are no signs of Killua and Gon.

I went to the terrace, to the kitchen and the dining room, but still no sign of them. Then I saw them at the backyard from the window.

"There they are." I said to myself. I hurried to the door and silently opened it, making sure that they won't notice me.

But before I could take another step. I heard something that made me regret checking on them.
