Chapter 23: I Liked You

Akira's POV.

I went to the bathroom and took a shower. After that I wore a bathrobe and faced the mirror.

I guess it's time...

I went outside the bathroom and saw Fumiko combing her hair.

"Wow. Fumiko you look very pretty." I said. She wears a red dress that reached her knees. And her hair is in a ponytail. No wonder Killua fell in love with her.

"Thanks." She said as she smiled. "But what are you waiting for? We need to get you dressed. I'll help."

"Thank you." I said.

Killua's POV.

At the festival. (the festival is being held at the boarder of the forest.)

What is taking them so long? Tsk...

"Onii chan!" "Killua!"

"Oh Alluka, Gon. What took you so long? And where are the others?" I asked.

"Oh Fumiko nee said that they will catch up." Alluka said.

"Onii chan, you look good in your tuxedo." Alluka said.

"Arigatou Alluka." I said. (Killua wears a black tuxedo with a red ribbon in this neck...)

"Oh aren't those Fumiko?" Gon asked . Then we looked at the direction where Gon was pointing.

"Ahh...It's her." Alluka said as she ran towards Fumiko and we ran after her.

"Minna." Fumiko said as she waved.

I blushed at the moment when I saw Fumiko. Well she looks pretty.

"Ahh Fumiko nee. You look pretty." Alluka said.

"Ahh thanks Alluka chan. You look pretty too." Fumiko smiled.

"Where is Akira?" Gon asked.

Now that he mentioned it, Akira is not here.

"Guys!" A voice called behind us.

I turned around and saw Akira. She is...very...beautiful. She wears a black and white dress that reached her knees and her hair in in braids. I feel my heart beats faster and my face turned red. Why am I feeling this? Ugh stupid brain.

I was cut off from my thoughts when Akira ran towards us.

"Wow Akira! You look very beautiful." Gon said.

"He's right Akira nee. You look like an angel." Alluka said making Akira blushed.

"Thanks." She mumbled and look at me.

"Killua are you alright? You're face is all red." She said. Crap really?

"Ahh yes...Uhmm you look...great." I said.

"Huh? Ah thanks." she said.

"Are you guys thirsty? I'll get something to drink." Fumiko said.

"I'll come with you." Gon said.

"Ahh me too." Alluka said.

Then the three of then went to the food table and leaving me and Akira alone.

Then suddenly the music started.

Some people went to the dance floor and danced with their partners.

I looked at the girl beside and saw her looking at the people on the dance floor smiling to herself.

"Uhmm...Akira, uhmm may I...have this dance?" I asked her as I offer my hand to her. I can feel my face heat.

She instantly blushed. "Ahh but I can't dance. Gome Killua." She said.

She was about to walk away but I grabbed her hand gently and she looked at me.

"I'll teach you." I said.

"But-" I cut her off.

"Everything will be fine. So don't worry, I'll be there for you." I said as I offered her my hand again.

"Okay." She said as she smiled making me blush.

We went to the dance floor and I faced her.

"I'm gonna put my hands on your waist okay?" I asked.

"Huh? Okay." she said and then I out my hands around her waist.

"Okay now put your hands around my neck." she nodded and did what I said.

Then after a few steps she got it. We are now dancing. She smiles brightly. Her smiles make me feel better every now and then.

Then she suddenly lowered her head that made me worried.

"Akira, are you tired?" I asked.

"Huh? Ah no." She said.

I only stared at her then she looked at me and opened her mouth like she wanted to say something badly but she hesitated and remained silent.

"What is it?" I asked her. She still didn't answer. "Don't worry, You can tell me everything, I'll listen." I said as I pulled her closer to me.

"Well, actually Killua, I...umm...I know everything now." She said with a sad expression but she keeps on hiding it.

"I heard your conversation with Gon in the backyard." she said that made me shocked. So she heard us.

"So you are the boy that Fumiko told me." She said.

I remained silent.

"You know, it's kinda weird. I felt sad when I heard that you still love her. I don't know why, but I guess now I know." she said as she looked at me and forced to smile.

I was hurt by her expression. I can clearly see that she's in pain.

"Akira I-"

"I liked you, Killua." She said cutting me off. "But it turns out that you loved Fumiko. I am not mad well I guess...It must be fate." She said and the music stopped.

"Akira-" I said but she cut me off again as she let go off me and ran away.

I ran after her. I saw her with the others.

When I approached her, the music started playing again.

"Ne, Fumiko, it's your turn." Akira said as she pushed Fumiko towards me. Akira...

Then Fumiko and I went to the dance floor.

Akira...what are you thinking?...
