Ella's Perspective
Laza Bane was attacked that night.
We hadn't even met Elyssia, but I was awoken by screams, clashing metal, explosions and gunshots.
''Wake up, Ella! We are being attacked,'' came Sera's cry. I woke, and grabbed my ax, flying into the fray, in nothing but a Black T-Shirt and leggings. Yes, I was wearing wolf slippers.
I screamed, killing all in my path. Atomic was by my side. I looked at her, and she nodded at me. I nodded as well, and jumped back into action.
The humans wanted to kill us. Dragons and Rider Dragons alike were fighting. Elves jumper gracefully about their foes, and dragons burnt them with fire, while Rider Dragons killed entire legions with a bat of their massive paws. Every time they breathed fire, the ground shook. Their Riders were lashing out with swords and magic. Majirica and Alex never looked more at home, fighting with her kin. My bullet-proof scales made me indestructible. I clenched my hand into a fist, and compressed multiple tanks at a time, causing explosions. I did the same for humans, gory as it was.
Then I saw her.
Elyssia.
She rode a green dragon, the green dragon, that must've been three hundred feet long, and seventy high. Her gold hair shone. Her eyes burned with cold fury.
''How dare you attack us,'' she yelled. ''How dare you with this underhand attack, kill our people!''
I stared at her, but paid for it later as I felt a knife slash my calf. I cried out, and decapitated my attacker.
Then, a deafening chant came from the mountains. Everyone turned, and stared.
Dwarves.
I mean what?
Dwarves.
They came in massive numbers, all with braided beards and axes, like my ax, only more elaborate. I grinned.
Their king, Uzronr, shouted, and blew a war horn. The entire army shouted in response. The elves, all dragons, Sera, Atomic, and me all shouted in response. The humans faltered, and shouted as well, only weaker than us.
The dwarf army stampeded towards the backside of the human army, and caught them off guard. Now they had two armies to fight. Atomic loosed a savage cry, and so did Sera. I flew above them all, even higher than the dragons, and yelled as loud as I could. I then flew over the west side of the human army, compressing everything in my path, even humans, earning a cry of victory from our army. I laughed savagely. I found the leader of the west flank I had just killed, and stood in front of him. He looked at me in fear. I snapped my fingers, and in the blink of an eye, he turned into a beautiful blue diamond.
''You were ugly before, now I made you into something pretty,'' I whispered to the diamond. It quivered. I had trapped the man's soul inside of the diamond. I dropped the diamond into Majirica's saddlebag, and flew on.
Then, I heard the rush of lots of water, and dashed out of the way just as it washed over some eastern troops, killing them with the torrent. Sera, I thought. I resolved to thank her after the battle. Just as I thought that, our troops scattered as acid rain burned the south side of the army, Atomic's doing, no doubt. Those men fled, clutching their arms and legs. Many fell on their exodus.
Elyssia caught up with me.
''Good job, Ella,'' she praised. Those were the first words she ever spoke to me. I smiled. And her dragon flew on with her, buffeting me with gusts of wind from her wings. I flew on, struggling against Elyssia's dragon's wake.
I don't remember how, but we won that day. That night (we slept all day) there was a party in Elyssia's hall, big enough to accommodate all dragons, dwarves, and elves who showed up.
''Tonight, we celebrate our victory, and remember the fallen,'' she said. Everyone cheered. ''We celebrate life, and feast!''
Alex found us three after the speech.
''Why aren't you celebrating,'' she asked us. ''You sit in the shadows, alone. Come, enjoy life!''
''I cannot,'' Sera said. ''We need to leave soon. The humans will chase us. Laza Bane will be in danger if we stay.''
''We will fight them off,'' Alex protested. Atomic shook her head. ''No. I don't want any more dragons to die.''
I agreed. ''They're right. We need to leave. Soon.''
Then, a elf child with long curly brown hair came up to us. ''There is someone here to see you,'' she said quietly, then hastily bowed.
''Don't bow,'' I said. ''Show us.''
The girl showed us the way through the labyrinth of halls. I saw a door cracked open. I peered in, and gasped. ''Get. Over. Here. Now.'' I called to them through gritted teeth. They walk through the open door, and both start to cry, Sera openly.
A Deep Sea, Diamond, and Acid dragon egg, one of each, lay on the floor broken, the dragonlings dead. Atomic cries out in sorrow.
''My race is dead,'' she cried. ''I am the last of my kind!''
I put a hand on her shoulder as she holds the dragonling, crying. She does not push me away. Sera does the same. I look at mine, and start to cry as well. The Diamond Dragons are not as rare as the Deep Sea or Acid dragons, but it is still very sad. I stroke the dragonling's neck, as if it was alive. Then, a voice behind us says,''I'm here, Atomic.'' She spins around.
''Ted?''
