Serafina's Perspective
Ella and I twirl to the summit of the mountain. I am thrown down roughly onto the icy-hot snow. My shoulder bleeds from the impact. My wings bent painfully. She stands facing me, axe out, dripping with blood. She growls.
"We were friends! My sister!" She yells at me through the howl of the wind. I stare at her, sad. "It's not you!" I cry. "This is Elyssia! She's poisoned your mind!" Ella laughs. "My power is too great. You will die, child."
Tears blur my vision. "No. It isn't you. I will not kill you." I say as a last resort. Ella waves her hand. A ring of fire forms. The snow melts around us. Lightning touches her axe, and charges it. I hold out my long sword. I am no longer here to make friends. Well, I never was. I am here to kill. And only kill.
I fly at her, and kick her in the chest. Her axe misses my feet by an inch. I bring my fist up under her neck hard. She grabs my wrist and bends it back. I scream. She grins in malice. Her eyes sparkle. I batter her with my wings, and tear her parka to shreds. My wrist bleeds, for she broke it. I stare at her. My black eyes must be filled with hate. I bring a wave of water hurdling at her from the rain. It consumes her, as a ball of water lifts her into the air. I cause her to tumble about inside, but she breaks free. I see her begin to close her fist. She intends to compress me. I flinch my neck, and the spell breaks. I fly as high up as I can, and send icy daggers pelting at her. She cuts them all down, and flies up to join me. I do not hesitate in cutting a gash along her axe-arm. Instead of crying in pain, she reaches for my throat. I kick, but she is strangling me. I try to float down to the mountain, but she is going up. My head feels fuzzy, and spots swim across my vision. I clench my fist around the hilt of my sword, and, in a frantic last attempt, stab at her heart. The blade hits her left lung. Now she screams, and we fall alarmingly fast back to the ground.
"My friend!" I yell. "Please! End this madness! Ella, please!" She shows no recognition on her face. And she flies at me again as she hits the tight-packed snow.
Atomic's Perspective
Men are shooting at me. The mound of galaxy dragon bodies has been blown to smithereens. Apollo is om my right, Tzarr om my left. Apollo is grief-mad. His father had no last words. he died instantly.
I shoot, killing with every shot. Tzarr snaps at everyone, tearing through flesh and bone. It feels odd not to have Ella and Sera at my side. I fight for them, fight so that they may stay alive. A dagger catches me on the shoulder, and I yell. Elyssia. She drags me away, out of the room. The two boys chase me, but I am already locked up in another room. Elyssia looks at me, and my pistol shatters to the ground like thin glass. I have no weapons. I try to stay calm as twelve elves clad in black surround me with crossbows. And very large arrows. Why do bad guys always have big, scary weapons?
I dodge several arrows. I swear under my breath as one clips my shoulder. I send an acid wave at the solders, knocking them all down. Elyssia laughs. "Die now." And her icy fingers are choking me. I lash out again. But then, I smile. I have a secret weapon. I pretend to submit, whining and crying. Elyssia laughs. But I do not feel pain. Then, my voice. "Rikka."
A jet of ice blue flame engulfs the room. Rikka stands to her full height, burning everything. All other guards that were summoned burn, their flesh melting away. I laugh. Alex leaps off, holding her bow. I smile as Elyssia is restrained by Rikka. Outside the room, I can sense hundreds of wolves rushing to attack the humans. Tzarr, always helping out. His savage roar is heard throughout the tunnels. But then, a sight I never thought I'd see.
Dragon Riders, hundreds of them, flying throughout the caverns. The dragons burn the enemy. Tanks and bodies alike fly about the air. All the riders have angry looks on their faces. This was their stronghold. Now it is theirs again. Dwarf war cries are heard. Humans shout in terror. Axes and bullets fly. Blood spatters the stone. Fire is all around. I smile. Wolves howl. "Not so strong, are we now?" I say to Elyssia. She gives me a withering look. "I hate you very much, child." she spits at me. She breaks free of Rikka's grasp, and walks through the fray to me. I raise my wings to make myself look bigger. I growl, and green acid dances at my fingertips. I have hated this elf since I first laid eyes on her. She all but abolished the Dragon Riders, kidnapped Sera, possessed Ella, sent humans after us, put us in a deadly simulation, and killed Majirica by way of a demon. I will see entrails on the floor.
I swoop at her and batter her mercilessly. I claw and snap, biting through muscle and flesh. She throws me off, her hair matted and her arm almost ripped in two. She sends water rushing at me. I dodge, and mix the water with acid, causing an Opposite Clash. A blinding white light fills the room, and the mixture splatters Elyssia. She cries in pain. I laugh. Everyone has now stopped to watch, men, wolves, dragons and elves alike. "You are so weak you couldn't even face all of us at once! You picked us off one by one." I call out more jeers to her. "You rotten liar! Coward! I hate you!" She steps and tries to stab at me. I then do something I've never done. I turn into a massive hundred foot tall dragon, my rage boiling over, and breath acid fire. It eats at her flesh, ans she screams. My scales, green and twinkling like emeralds, reflect the light. When the smoke clears, she is nothing more than a small, bloody lump on the floor. I become a half-dragon again, and look at her. I pick up her sword.
And stab her through the stomach.
Serafina's Perspective:
I am weak.
That is all I think as Ella looms over me, ready to kill. I leap up and aim a dagger at her chest. It hits home, but she does not even flinch. She continues to push me back. The fire has turned into a wildfire, spreading down the mountain. Trees burn and I hear war cries from the rooms below us.
Ella growls at me. "TRAITOR!" she shrieks. "YOU SHOULD HAVE PICKED THE WINNING SIDE!" I roll away helplessly from her axe. She smacks it into the snow, and I roll away. My daggers are no good anymore. She seems to be able to develop an immunity to any harm if she has experienced it once. Very unhelpful.
Her red hair is a blur against my blue-green. I kick her. Smoke covers her form. I only see a silhouette. She can only see my silhouette. I send the rain at her, and she sends stone and lightning at me. Lightning strikes a boulder, and it comes rolling at me. The flash blinds me.
Then I see her figure. An axe raised to kill. I jump away, sprinting now. But as I turn, I see stone against the black-grey sky. Lightning illuminates her figure. The axe is raised. There is a crack of thunder, hot pain on the base of my skull.
Then nothing at all.
