Chapter 1

Purple Eyes had quite a headstart on whoever Arthur had sent after them but Purple Eyes was a small dragon and she couldn't fly fast. Ephvangeline felt the little dragon's wings beat furiously as she fought against the wind and fatigue to keep in the air. Ephvangeline was worried that her very own weight would be too much for the dragon.

And there before them stood the two women from Ephvangeline's wall. So suddenly they had shown up. The pink and silver women stood on the head of a massive silver dragon. However their appearance gave Purple Eyes a whole new burst of adrenaline and she turned to fly flew away upon the slightest of glances.

"Purple Eyes what's going on!" Ephvangeline screamed trying to beat the wind however it was on ears deaf to the wind. Whatever confidence Purple Eyes had to fly north was gone now and she was scared. Ephvangeline though holding onto Purple's neck, she looked back over her shoulder to see if the silver dragon was chasing. It slowly loomed closer and closer as Purple Eyes struggled away from it. The sheer size of the dragon's wings swept up Purple Eyes in gusts of wind every time they moved. Her desperate attempts were failing and soon she found herself being picked up by the silver dragon's paw and put onto its head.

Purple Eyes was stunned but began gasping for air, ever so tired. The lady in a pink, not quite the gown that Ephvangeline had painted on the wall, but another pink gown smiled at us, she knew it was her from the fakeness of her smile in her sky blue eyes.

"Hello Ephvangeline," she smiled directly at her. Purple Eyes made a squeak of fear and tried to fly away.

The woman in armour exactly how I had drawn grabbed Purple Eyes' ear. "Don't fly away, we are not enemies," her voice was as stern and trustworthy as Ephvangeline had imagined it to be.

Purple Eyes looked up into her silver eyes in fear. What was these riders of Light and Pink clan going to do to her?

"So you're on the run from your rider aren't you.... Purple Eyes," the pink one leaned in toward the trembling dragon "you had better come with us, he won't go looking for you in our clan."

"Come on, we need to give a proper introduction. We are just scaring the poor dragon," the silver one let go of Purple Eyes' ear and Purple Eyes hesitating in flying away. The pink one did have a point. Not even Arthur wasn't crazy enough to go into the light clan, especially without his living dragon shield.... They would be free from him inside. But at what cost?

"I am Catcher and this is Candella. We are the leaders of Light and Pink clan," the silver one explained and Purple Eyes' fear only grew "but don't be worried we aren't here to kill you but rather to help. We heard from the nature dragons about your rider so we agreed to have you stay in our clan until it is safe for you to leave."

Why are you doing this? Why would you help a purple dragon?

Candella smiled with perfect pink lips "we do what is right. We're very different to the darkness dragons you're used to, please remember that."

"No one will harm you Purple Eyes you need not worry," Catcher comforted her.

Purple Eyes looked back at Ephvangeline, she looked puzzled.

Should we trust them?

Ephvangeline moved closer to Purple Eyes and whispered "what other choice do we have?"

Purple Eyes looked back at the two women who were waiting patiently for her reply. She was so unsure but what Ephvangeline said was true. They had no other choice. Purple Eyes nodded and the two women smiled, the pink with fakeness and the silver genuinely. Ephvangeline wondered how the two worked together as leaders being so completely different.

And the silver dragon flew back to the Light clan as there was a small purple dot coming towards them.
