Chapter 6
"A war for one dragon that's unheard of!" Branimir looked at Purple Eyes "you must be one special dragon, are you sure you're not rainbow."
Purple Eyes nodded with a tweak of a smile, the situation was too serious for a full smile.
"You're not going to hand us over to him are you?" Ephvangeline asked and the whole room was dead silence.
Were they prepared to go to war over one dragon, that wasn't even their own.
"Well it's certainly a big deal..." Catcher mutter, not willing to make a decision, no one wanted to put their opinion in, afraid that the others in the room would disagree. The silence clung and suffocated. Despite choking on it no one wanted to break it.
Purple Eyes had been abused by her rider that was reason enough to keep her from him but was it reason enough for a war? So many would die for a dragon of another clan. A dragon they had fought against merely months ago.
"Well," said Canella, rising "we have to have a plan. Purple Eyes is not of our own-"
Branimir cut her off rising and slamming his fist on the table "Mother no! She was abused by her rider. That goes against everything that us riders stand for, before our clans we are riders and we have a duty as riders to care for and to love our dragons. They are our equals and our other halves. Arthur wants to start a war? Let him, we will be beaten because at our core each rider cares for their dragon. He is the one exception. I stand with Purple Eyes."
Candella was silenced. Ephvangeline could almost see the cogs turning and calculating in her mind.
Catcher stood "Your son is 100 percent right Candella, Light clan will protect Purple Eyes."
Candella smiled "Yes, well done Branimir, that speech was empowering Pink clan will protect Purple Eyes."
Ephvangeline put her arm around Purple Eyes' neck, and whispered in the dragon's ear "we're going to be ok."

Arthur stood before the Royal Air clan and Fire clan members, he couldn't help but to feel nervous, having gathered them on only a half truth. All their eyes were on him and they were to fly out to war so soon. All for him. Though he was feeling nervous this was the first time he truly felt the full extend of his power as the Prince of Purple alone. He was able to summon an army all for his own cause.
He wished so hard that he could rule Purple clan one day and cursed his sister Voski. Usually she would be there. Wars were her favourite. He didn't even get to see her reaction but he couldn't imagine anything he would have liked to see, it would have probably have been laughter.
He shook those thought out of his head, now was not the time.
"Before we fly, are you completely sure that there is no hope for Lava clan joining us?" he asked.
It was the leader of Fire clan who answer, Jaron "No they are loyal to Earth clan at the moment and they want to keep the piece."
Tia rolled her eyes "oh now they want to stay the peace route, that would be a first."
Jaron shrugged "That is what the queen said. She won't led her army so this is all we've got."
Arthur sighed. Lava clan would have been a useful addition, especially if Light clan brought in Water clan. But fighting wasn't even what the plan was it was to get Purple Eyes back. Fighting was last resort.
An Air dragon rider ran over to them and whispered to the Air clan's king, Dinu. Dinu's eyes flashed "They aren't giving her up, they are preparing for war."
"Then it's war they will get, They are not keeping my dragon away from me like this!"
Arthur would tear down every primary and secondary clan to get his dragon back.

Silver armour was hard to come by in Purple clan, not to mention, silver dragon armour. But the black mackets always had everything Voski could ever ask for. And she asked for a lot.
Coating her dragon in silver felt wrong. Hiding away those beautiful coloured scaled, replacing them will dull colourless metallic. But killing Purple Eyes would feel so right that it was worth it.
She stepped into silver armour for herself. She felt like a she was betraying everything she stood for when she saw herself in the mirror. But it was convincing.
And that's all that mattered.
