Anthony

I turned my attention toward the door after hearing a loud gasp. "Fuck." I mumbled. Diamond was standing there terrified. My eyes scanned the yard. Almost everyone was gone. My eyes locked on the kids. Antonio and Christian were petrified, scared out of their minds. Their eyes glossy with tears, stared at me as if I was a psycho maniac who was going to hurt them. That made me feel something I don't think I've ever felt before. Just seeing my sons look at me that way...I felt pitiful.

I lowered my gun and ran through the house to get out front. Once I was back outside, I got in the car, started the engine, and sped off. I know someone called the police and it wouldn't be long before they arrived. After about ten minutes I pulled into my cousin Joseph's driveway. I knocked on the door frantically.

The door opened and I brushed pass Joseph to get inside. "Damn Ant, I didn't know you was back. What happened? You look desperate as fuck." Joseph said, closing the door.

"Jay I fucked up...I fucked up bad." I responded, sitting on the couch. I shook my head as I dragged my hands down my face.

Joseph sat on the other couch opposing to the one I was on. "Damn bro, what you do?" He asked, furrowing his eyebrows.

"Today is Diamond's son Owen's birthday. I had a little feud with his dad and pulled my gun out on him...in front of everyone at the party," I told, getting upset. "Man, you should have seen the look on Antonio and Christian's faces when they saw me. It's like they didn't know who I was anymore. They've never seen that side of me. I don't know what happened man. It's like I got so mad I blacked out and forgot what was going on."

"Damn Ant. What you gon' do now?"Joseph asked.

"I know the police will be there. We're staying here for a week and I know Patrick will try to get my ass. I need to hide out man."

"You know you're family, so you're always welcome to stay here bro. But, what about Diamond and the kids?"

I sighed. "I don't know. Maybe they'll just have to wait until our time here in Atlanta ends. I might just go back if I feel it's safe."

A lot is going through my mind right now. I just need some time to cool off. I reached in my pocket and grabbed my phone. My lock screen displayed a picture of Diamond and the boys all smiling at the camera. She was hugging them both. I sighed and turned my phone off to close out any communication with her.

What the fuck did I just start...

Diamond

I gazed around the yard. The party was dead. Mostly everyone was gone, tables and chairs were flipped, and the weeping of the guests that were too scared to leave broke the silence. Patrick had hurried over to Owen and hugged him. Owen cried onto Patrick's shoulder. I ran over to them. What the hell is going on?

"Patrick, what happened?" I questioned emotionally.

Patrick stood up and got in my face. "This is all your fault Diamond!" He yelled pointing his finger in my face. I flinched with his every word. "Why the fuck would you bring him here? Look what he has done! You're so fucking stupid!"

"Okay that's enough Patrick!" My mom yelled, coming to my defense. I did nothing but let the tears fall. I can't believe this.

"She never even told me she brought him with her." Patrick told my mom, calming himself down. "She knows we don't get along, yet she thinks we can be at the same place together without something popping off."
