Claude's POV

I look around my office and groan for the hundredth time it seems like. Lucas sat in the chair in front of me with a look of boredom.

"Is she ready yet?" He ask. I don't bother to answer the question because we both know, she's not.

After I was the clock tick by for another five minutes I finally get to my feet. "I am going to see what is keeping her." I state before using my inhuman speed, making my way to iris's room.

I reach out and knock on the door, her voice invites me in as I turn the handle. "My flower are you ready-"

I'm sure that my jaw hit the floor. Iris turned around to face me, her hair was perfectly tied into a nest bun with a few small curls hanging loosely around her face. Her grey eyes sparkling against the red lacy dress. Her skin was glowing against the vibrant color.

"Wow." I breath.

Iris's cheeks burn as red as her dress as she looks down. "Is it too much?" She whispers. I walk to her and lift her chin to meet my eyes as a smile paints my lips.

"No, you look like a beautiful rose my flower."

Her cheeks burn brighter. I can't help but smile as I pull her into my arms. I couldn't wait to show her off to everyone. She was mine.

I lead her out of her room and down to were id left my brother. "Lucas, this is iris."

I watch as his face falls, a look of terror and anger coats his red eyes as he looks over her. It was only a second but he quickly mask it with Boredom.

"I see, she's quite a catch." He breaths. I stare at him for a moment before tightening my grip on Iris. "Shall we?"

I nod my head and place my hand in the small of her back. She hasn't reacted, her heart rate hadn't spiked. It's as if she didn't know Lucas, but he most certainly knew her.

The drive was quiet, even dinner itself was kept to a minimum. I couldn't miss the small glances Lucas gave Iris, it's as if he was hurt over something she'd possibly done but she was completely unaware of it.

I sat there mulling over this evenings events, which had only brought me more confusion.

"Claude, is something wrong?" Iris, kneels infront of me as I lean over the edge of the bed.

"Is it possible you were a slave or even a pet to Lucas once?" I dare ask.

Iris frowns for a moment before shaking her head. "Tonight was the first night I had ever met him, and honestly I'd greatly appreciate it if I never had to meet him again." She chuckles.

I instantly banish all thoughts of Lucas as I pull iris into bed, pulling her warm human body close to me. "I adore you so much my flower."

She looks up st me and smiles as she brushes her thumb against my unshaven jaw. "And I adore you my crazy vampire master." She winks.
