Much Needed

Penelope's POV:

A knock on my door jerks me back to reality,"Come in." I smooth out my orange dress and black cardigan as I turn around in my chair to see Derek closing the door behind himself.
There's a glint in his eyes and I slightly smile at him. It has been a wonderful 9 months here and I've come to love these people like a family. Derek is my best friend with JJ coming in at a close second. "Hey, whatcha need?" I say as I stand up.
"Oh nothing, I um just wanted to talk to you."
I smile a little,"What about Chocolate Thunder?"
He smiles at his feet,"I know this will sound a little weird, but I wanted to talk about, um h-how much I love you, Penelope. I mean, as more than my best friend.", he looks up at me,"I-I've loved you ever since the first time I came into this very office and shook your hand. I love all of your flaws and your curves and beautiful eyes and the crazy wonderful dresses you wear and even your secret freckle that only I know about"-he winks at me-"You're such an amazing person and you mean a lot to me, Penelope, a lot. You're very extraordinary and positively perfect to me."
He walks up to me as I stood with a shocked expression on my face.
"I love you, Penelope Garcia. All of you, inside out and head to toe."
He slowly wraps his arms around my waist and I honestly was lost for words. I realized what he was doing as his lips got closer to mine. I watched as he closes the gap between us.
I suddenly felt a rush of energy surge through my entire body as his lips press against mine and mold together. His lips felt so soft and good and I melted into him. I wrap my arms around his neck, gently kissing him back. I felt him pull me into him as I stood on my tiptoes. His hands roam my body, finally resting on my bum, giving it a small squeeze as our passionate kiss gets more hungry and desirable.
His tongue entwined with mine as our breathing got heavier and in unison. I gave a small moan as I reluctantly pulled away from his lips, loving the sweet taste he left in my mouth. Our grip on each other stays strong as I stare into his dark eyes.
I finally whisper,"Derek. Where is this coming from."
He stares at me a little longer before gently pressing his lips against mine again. He mumbles,"My heart Baby Girl."
He continues to kiss down my jawline, nibble at my ear, and leave a tail of light kisses down my neck. I moan lightly and place my hand on the back of his neck. He effortlessly turns me on unknowingly. He pulls me against his warm and firm body, resting his chin on my shoulder and his face in my hair, he inhales deeply.
"I'm so glad you finally came to me and told me this Derek. I-I've been trying to tell you this for forever, but you know me."
"Yeah, I do Baby Girl."
I smile as I look up into his shining eyes and kiss his strongly on the lips. I grab his face and push myself into him.
"I've always wanted to hold you like this Penelope. I'm so happy I can finally do this with you. It's been too long."
"Yes, yes it has."
Derek and I stood in the middle of my office, locked in a much needed loving embrace.
