In this one, Penelope's parents died a few months ago and she's gone into a spiraling depression and she doesn't work for the BAU, but Derek does and he's her boyfriend. It'll also be in third person so I hope y'all like it 😅💕

Derek unlocks his door to his apartment after a long hard day at the BAU. He steps in and locks the door behind himself. He calls out,"Penelope! Baby I'm home!" He puts his things down by the door and looks around the apartment for his beloved girlfriend Penelope.
He knew she hadn't gone anywhere. Her car was still there and she hadn't gone anywhere in the past 3 weeks. She had gotten devastating news that her parents had been in a terrible car wreck with a drunk driver and sadly, both had died at the scene. She'd fallen into a spiraling depression and Derek had done all he could to be there for his Queen, his Baby Girl, his everything. He hated to see her hurting or in pain, whether it was physical or mental.
Derek walked to his bedroom and opened the door. There he found Penelope curled in a ball on the bed in the dark. She sat staring at the covers she was on. Derek spoke softly,"Baby Girl, I'm home." He walked to the bed and got in it with Penelope. Derek silently sat beside her, watching her.
He grabs Penelope's chin and tilts it towards him. Derek could tell that Penelope had been crying. Derek brushes a few hairs out of Penelope's face as she sniffles. Derek says softly,"Baby Girl..." Penelope suddenly leans in and kisses Derek passionately. She releases after a few seconds and Derek tasted something odd in his mouth.
"What did you take." Derek asks. He looks at Penelope and Penelope looks right back at him. Tears brim Penelope's eyes as she says,"Derek I'm sorry. I took sleeping pills, but they're not working. They're not working, Derek. They're not working." Tears are now flowing from Penelope's eyes and she couldn't hold it back anymore.
Her parents were gone and she felt alone in the world. Derek was the best man Penelope could've asked for, even though he was gone a lot, but she didn't mind, and she understood. Her feelings were messing with her and she didn't like it, but she couldn't help it.
Derek pulls his aching girlfriend into him as Penelope cries harder into his chest. Penelope trembles in pain and Derek consoles her the best he can, telling Penelope that they loved her and will always be with her no matter what. They lived a long, fulfilling life and are very proud of her.
Penelope eventually falls asleep on Derek and he soon joins her.
