The Project

So basically every school district was close except mines😑 so basically it was half day!😊

Elizabeth POV:

As I was running, I ran into someone crashing into their arms. The person held me in an embrace of warmth. I looked up to an unfamiliar face.

"Oh I'm sorry" I said barely audible.

"It's cool"

He had a deep voice and was light skin. His eyes were asian looking but were still big, chocolate brown. He had big lips and the straightest white teeth, his hair was just like Chres's but more longer, he had a shape up too. He was Ray's height but maybe a few inches taller.

I let go out of his hold continuing on to walk the halls. He called back to me "are you Rayan's girl?"

Ok? That was random and why was he asking?

"Yeah"

"Cool beans"

With that he walked away to wherever he was going. The bell rang and the hallways were beginning to be filled with students.

I decided to go to the teachers lounge and get me a coke, that's what I did. I took a glance at my schedule noticing I had English this period. Oh joy. I happened to be standing right next to the door.

I walked right in and it got silent. Everyone's eyes followed my every move. I looked around seeing mostly the same people from health class.

"Oh miss. Miller, nice of you to join us. I was just about to place your seat. You'll be sitting next to....Amanda Wyans." Mr. Neck said. He is the worst teacher I could have.

She raised her hand as I began walking to the lucky empty desk that was next to her and happened to be two seats infront of Ray and his group.

'Oh. Crap.' I thought.

I sat next to her plopping down. She smiled at me as I smiled back at her.

"So today class, you'll be working on a project. Great way to start the year and first grade...." Mr.Neck started off saying.

"Now this project will get you guys closer and you'll be able to learn a few things about people you never knew before. I WILL be picking your partners."

The class groaned and sighed sucking their teethes. I scanned around the room as Mr. Neck called out partners names.

"Jamao....Heidi

Elizabeth....Nolen" I snapped my head in the direction he was pointing, it was the same one I bumped into in the hallways. So that was his name?

"Ray....Jacob

Amanda....Byran" at least Ray already knew Jacob. I haven't spoken with Jacob for the longest so I thought I should speak to him now.

I got out my seat and sat next to Jacob. I interrupted their little group and just sat there waiting on them to notice me. Ray turned around "sup Liz" "sup ray" I simply replied.

They all looked at us weirdly, they didn't know me and Ray were currently mad at each other.

"Jacob."

"Elizabeth"

"What's good? like I haven't talked to you in a while and thank you all again for...you know" I said cheesing.

"Oh no problem Liz, I'm good, your the one who never decided to text back but it's all good"

"Oh wait, I hit you with the seen?! Omg I'm sorry" I tugged on his arm hugging it.
