One Year Later

One year & 3 months later..

Elizabeth's POV

So basically let me just fill you in. Ray and I are still together and strong,10 years of being together and 4 years officially. I had my baby girl, Aniyah in May. She is now 6 months old. We all graduated high school but Kiana's still in school, nigga' we made it. Kiana told me about her abortion but to be honest I sort of knew on the low. Her and Lucas are back on together after she found out what he was scheming last December. I couldn't believe it.

Unfortunately Ray and I didn't go to a University but I did go to a Community College. I take Nursing courses currently which helped me become a Mid-Wife. Good thing I got a head start in high school or I wouldn't be able to be where I'm at now. I plan on taking the test, getting a license and certificate then I'll be a certified mid-wife.

I just came home from a class. Ray wasn't here, he was at work I thought. I went next door to Mrs. Rose's house. She was a nice elderly women. We moved out our old house because there were too much good/bad memories.

I waited for Mrs.Rose to open the door patiently. Within 5 minutes she opened the door greeting me. She led me inside taking me to where Aniyah was sleeping. She has been babysitting Aniyah for us while we were at school or work.

"Thank you Mrs.Rose I appreciate you watching her." I kissed her cheek.

"No problem dear, she's a sweetheart."

I wrapped Aniyah in a sweater, a coat, hat, mittens, and a scarf because it was December and I don't want my little girl to be sick. I opened up the front door letting the cold wind hit my body.

I left Roses house unlocking my house door.

I kicked my feet outside cleaning any snow that might've gotten stuck in my boots. I heard laughter coming from Kiana's room so I decided to pop in there.

Her and Lucas were cuddled up on the bed just talking. They didn't notice me until Aniyah started waking up making baby noises.

"Oh hey creeper Liz. Hey Aunties baby!"She said in her baby voice. "Give me my niece" I leaned Aniyah towards her and sure enough Aniyah reached for her. "Make sure you feed her now!" I yelled out before leaving her room.

I feel like I'm forgetting something.. .. oh!

I popped back in Kiana's room greeting Lucas.

I walked into the kitchen getting out some leftover Chinese food. I warmed it in the microwave and walked into my room with it. I turned the tv on switching it to channel 42. Braxton Family Values was on.

I was starting to miss my baby so I called him. It rung once and went to voicemail, must've sent it to voicemail I thought. I called back 2 more times and it still went to voicemail. What the hell could he be doing? I know his shift is over by now.

He has been acting strange but I don't really take it to the head. Lucas came into my room handing me Aniyah who was in Lucas's arms reaching over to me. I took her setting her on a pillow. "Hey mommys baby!" I said in a baby voice tickling her belly.

During an hour I bathed her, fed her, and put her to sleep. It was 7:50 and I was getting tired so I decided on taking a 30 min nap.

It was 9 pm. I heard the front door open and close. It has to be Ray. I sat up leaning against the headboard crossing my arms. He walked in slowly turning on the light. He turned around surprised to see me staring at him.

"Where have you been?"

"Me and the guys went out." he replied dryly.

"What guys? and where'd yall go?"

"The guys at my job, duh."

"So why do you smell like someone else's scent, say a female?"

"Because some of the guys had their wives with them" He changed out his clothes into basketball shorts and a wife beater.

He undid his braids while walking over to the bed. I had my arms crossed beCause I did not believe him. I stared at him intensively. He came next to me and kissed me, but I didn't kiss back. He kept kissing me until he bit my lip a little. I wouldn't budge. He soon gave up moving down to my neck.

He started sucking on it and kissing it. I unfolded my arms mushing him.

"Baby don't worry, I am not cheating on you or doing some bull shit. I am really at work baby" he pulled my waist down to the bed hovering over me and began pleasuring my body.

I didn't want to fight but I can't say I still didn't have my suspicions. I let him pleasure me for the night and that was that.
